Villa near Fiskardo, Kefalonia. Looking westwards for beautiful sunsets
Both us and our 2 children (well, adults now) fell in love with Kefalonia and in particular the North of the island. We live in a rural farming area of North Devon and saw the connection between our friendly village in England and here. We both work full time and have several animals to look after, so getting away to Kefalonia has an instant chill out factor which is just what we need from time to time. We felt we wanted to share the tranquility and beauty of the island with as many people as possible in the busy lifestyle we now all lead.
Owner purchased this Villa in 2009
Why Owner chose Erisos
We strongly believe in gut instinct and when we stepped onto this piece of land with a derelict building, we both knew it felt right, ticking all the boxes for the location and what it could offer. Although being fairly remote it is still close enough to visit beaches, tavernas and the nightlife in Fiscardo.

Lovely villa with great sunset views
We stayed here for a week and had a great stay. The villa is clean and well managed, we found it just as described. The access is a bit steep but to be expected in this sort of location. It has been very well restored and whilst there are a few villas around, it is in a peaceful location but close enough to the local village (walkable up the hill) for a small supermarket and a few restaurants. It is only 10 minute drive to Fiskardo and there are plenty of beaches just a short drive away.
A great property in a brilliant location
We stayed in the area last year and really enjoyed it so thought we would go back again. We chose this villa and were not disappointed it was beautifully restored to a really high standard and has great views over the countryside and sea. It was also very well equipped and we had maid service twice a week. The manager was very friendly and helpful and popped in to make sure we had everything which we needed. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone wanting to stay in the Fiscardo area.
Excellent in every way. Location is great , near to two nice beaches, and the village is a 5 minute walk away.
Villa itself is lovely, easily accommodating 6 , nice bedrooms /bathrooms and great outdoor space, pool was great. Probably the best equipped Villa we have ever stayed in .
If we go back to the area would certainly book again , no hesitation.
Alaties, Jeruselum, Dafnoudi, Emblisi and Foki beach are all within 5 minutes drive. Dafnoudi beach does involve a stroll through very pretty woodland in order to reach it but is well worth the effort.
Fiscardo, a picturesque fishing harbour is a 10 minute drive where you will find a fine selection of Tavernas and local shops.
You will land at Argostoli airport and from there the property is approximately an hours drive, so car hire is essential. Auto Europe is the car hire company we would recommend and cars can be collected from the airport.
Should you wish to explore further afield, Sami, which is the main port on the island, is a 40 minute drive and from here you can get a ferry to the mainland. Also not too far from Sami is the underground lake of Melissani and the Drogarati caves. Myrtos beach, which is stunning, is about 20 minutes drive from the villa and can be seen from the coast road as you drive from the airport to the villa.
Banks and main supermarkets are in Argostoli but you can get general groceries locally in Manganos, about a 5 minute walk away. Local Tavernas are very good and the people very friendly. There is a medical center in Vassilikiades, about 15 minutes drive away.
A cashpoint is available in Fiskardo.
Small boat hire and PADI scuba diving is available from Fiskardo.
Twice a year the Patron Saint of the island, St Gerasimos is celebrated. This is in August and October and you should know that shops are generally closed on this day.
