Why Rachel Halley chose Youlgreave
We just love the area, the countryside is so beautiful, the people are so friendly and there is so much to see and do or our guests just relax and unwind. We use the cottage as an escape from the hustle and bustle of London life. Having spent many years renting other peoples cottages we have learnt that home comforts are essential for a relaxing holiday. We have filled the cottage with many luxury items that we think you will love and we look forward to sharing our cottage with you.
What makes this Cottage unique
The cottage has squashy leather sofa, off street car parking, four poster bed, woodburner and is conveniently located in the heart of the village within easy strolling distance of the 3 pubs, village stores and local cafe.

Wonderful cottage, great location
Just returned from 4 nights at this beautiful cottage, ideally located in a lovely part of the Peak District within easy driving distance of some lovely scenery and towns. Exactly as described and photographed - in fact the photos don't do the cottage justice! Recommend nearby Farmyard Inn pub for evening food, and especially their Pie Night. Lovely walks from the doorstep - around the village, up into the hills and down into nearby valleys and along picturesque streams. No need to venture very far from Youlgreave, however would recommend Bakewell and Chatsworth, and a walk/drive around Dovedale for spectacular hills. We walked from the cottage up to Robin Hood's Stride - well worth the climb for the views from these rocks. A wonderful retreat, beautifully furnished and very high spec - especially the bedroom & bathroom - with a lovely view from the bedroom across the hills. Definitely recommend this Cottage for a couple, with or without a well behaved dog in tow.

Fabulous Weekend in the Country
We loved the cottage and the area.
We stayed at Tweedle Dum cottage a couple of months ago and wanted to return but it was already booked so we chose Tweedle Dee Cottage next door which we loved just as much as Tweedle Dum.
Although the weather was warm we lit the woodburner in the evenings which made the sitting room extra cosy. The 4 poster bed is amazing and so comfortable.
We would recommend Chatsworth which is beautiful and we also took a trip to Castleton to visit Speedwell Cavern which was such fun - we legged a boat through an underground river tunnel. Amazing.
We have 2 of your lovely cottages still to try out, Thimble and Dawson's. We took a peak through the window at Thimble and it looks lovely. Maybe next time.
Thank you Rachel for another lovely weekend break. We will be telling all our friends about your cottages.
It was great to see you again and thank you for your review.
We are so pleased that you liked Tweedle Dee Cottage and that you had a good time.
We love Chatsworth as well, it's so beautiful at any time of the year.
Thank you also for your continued support of out cottages which we greatly appreciate.
We look forward to welcoming you back soon.
