Notes
- Notes on accommodation: Please contact owner. Outside: The wooden decked area stretches the width of the house and private garden extends three sides of the property. The garden leads down to the low-level river, ideal for children to play (young children with supervision), for hardy bathers and small dinghies. Generally the garden and house are ideal for families. The garden area has been left as natural as possible, there is a small, low-level, feature bridge in the garden which children love and it's thus full of potential places to hide and build dens! The decking area is a sun trap from early morning until mid afternoon when the sun moves to the 'stone circle' area, ideal for catching the last rays and watching the sun set. Utility Room: Used more as a very large store, this is also a good drying room in winter. Here you'll find an iron, ironing board, clothes dryer, mop, brush and dustpan, sweeping brush, snow shovel and store for the patio furniture (two tables, chairs and parasol). Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and bedlinen are provided and the lodge is thoroughly cleaned before and after every stay. For longer stays, an interim clean is available for a small charge. Guests are invited to use fresh towels and bed linen as reasonably required. Other: The lodge is purposely laid out to suit 1 large party or 2 families sharing. 2 bedrooms downstairs are served by the largest, family bathroom and cloakroom and 2 bedrooms upstairs both have an en-suite. The entrance hall is good for snowy boots and coats.

*Dear Guests, !!Look for 20% discounts on new availability following Covid cancellations!! In these incredibly difficult, unpredictable times, we are onboard with AirBnB’s emergency cancellation policy which is to return all payments for holidays scheduled for between now and the end of August, should you wish, or be forced, to cancel. This is, of course, something which will be kept under review until the threat of Covid-19 is past. Of course, if you’d prefer to simply transfer your booking to the same or a different time next year or perhaps later on this year, then we can do that for you. Not only would it be comforting for you to have something booked for the future, with no extra hassle, it would be extremely helpful for us to know we hadn’t lost all our bookings and we’d be extremely grateful for your support. Most importantly however, we wish you and your loved ones good health and a speedy end to this crisis. Jackie, updated 09 July 2020* I live in Yorkshire, England, with my husband and our two teenage daughters who, despite the stereotypes, are still great fun. We're quite an active family so Tatras Lodge is perfect on two levels. It's so peaceful, it's the closest we ever get to doing nothing (for nothing, I mean: long lunches on the decking, playing games, paddling in the river, reading several books and drinking wine) and yet this is an activity haven. There's every conceivable winter and summer mountain activity with spas and water parks built on thermal springs in every direction. Winters are snowy, the ski season long and summers hot like they should be (only broken by hugely impressive storms) so the weather never stops us doing anything we planned. Cycling, mountain biking and cross country skiing are on the doorstep. Eating out has become an unexpected pleasure, with local and international cuisine available locally and at a fraction of British prices.

Why Jackie Buxton chose Pribylina
We fell in love with Slovakia after stumbling upon it driving over the mountains from Poland. The climate is perfect for winter and summer activities, its history is fascinating, the people are lovely and there's so much to do which is generally at a fraction of British prices. Tatras Lodge is in Pribylina at the base of the sought after Tatras Mountains. Being a popular ski and summer alpine walking area means its infrastructure and the amenities are great. And yet, as one of an exclusive development of wooden lodges where the gentle Bela and Vah rivers connect, you could be anywhere and certainly can't hear a single car or voice inside or outside of the lodge. For us, it's the perfect combination of peace and convenience - not just for us but for our 15 and 16 year old daughters.
What makes this Chalet unique
We were involved in the planning and building of Tatras Lodge and opted for large, spacious rooms and three bathrooms (plus an extra cloakroom) to make for a truly luxurious stay for up to 10 people. Being one of only a few of the lodges to lead down to the river edge, and standing on a double sized plot, the lodge occupies a top, exceptionally private spot. Our local contact, and font of local information, oversees every stay and is always on hand to answer all your needs. Free WiFi is now available at the property and we are very excited about the latest addition to the grounds: a barrel sauna.
