Bay block. Short walk to the bay and beach. Half block from the playground. In-ground pool - NO DIVING!! Enclosed sunporch; finished loft with air conditioning. Large kitchen with dining area. ALL NEWLY RENOVATED, POST SANDY. New appliances, including dishwasher, washer, dryer, stove, fridge. New carpeting, flooring, stairs, and furnishings.

Our week at the Jersey Shore in Lavallette was a great kickoff to the summer of 2015. We were there two weeks before the Fourth of July, so the town was still quiet and traffic was light. This property is on a quiet street midway to beach or bay. The local library and playground were only a block away. A new construction was about to begin next door, but we missed it fortunately! The floor plan of the house has a nice flow, and it is full of natural light and airy. The updated kitchen is well stocked with plenty of cookware and utensils. Most room sizes are comfortable. Master bedroom is roomy with a full bath. Only problem is that the headend of the comfy bed is in front of the noisy HVAC closet. Beware if you need to use bedrooms 3 & 4 they are accessible via a set of wooden, narrow, steep stairs with separate right/left food pads. There is probably a name for this design, but I don't know what it is! These upstairs bedrooms are in an attic with low ceilings, so the window ACs are a must. The enclosed porch is a good place to spread out and store your luggage and beach gear, but it's not not cooled. Hands down the best feature of this rental is the heated inground pool. It kept us outdoors and refreshed while enjoying some private relaxation and quality family time daily. While slightly overpriced for the vintage structure we would definitely consider returning in the future.
