A get away from it all cottage in the hidden gem of Moidart, by Ardnamurchan. Perfectly situated for trips to Skye, Mull, the beautiful west coast beaches and hills.
Why Steven Mitchell chose Acharacle
It is located in an amazing part of Scotland - very rural, stuffed with wildlife and scenery - if you want to get away from it all, this is the place for you!

Away from it all
No tv, no internet no phone signal, but fresh air, peace and quiet in a charming cottage.
Excellent break away from people
Very nice property in beautiful isolated location. The dogs (2 black labradors) loved playing in the garden and the loch. Excellent forest and beach walks nearby in an amazing setting.
Photos were exactly how it was in the flesh. Excellent bathroom ensuite. The second bathroom was a bit smelly but only because the extractor fan was useless and we didn't have a pole to be able to open the roof light. A pole would have also enabled us to open the veluxes in the sun room. Overall, a great base for our holiday.
Peaceful area lovely property
Dalilea Croft is a well appointed property in a fantastic setting. We loved it. Basic items such as washing up liquid, tea bags etc were provided. Clear instructions for heating etc.
Loved it! Will return soon, thank you.
Great cottage to get away from everything!
Lovely place to stay and enjoy the wildness of the highlands. We saw red deer and eagles every day. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the amazing scenery.
The cottage at Dalilea was fantastic and just what we were looking for - a get away from it all place but within reasonable reach of facilities. Cottage itself was great. Liked the unusual layout and the sunroom was our favourite spot to sit and watch birds, bats and red deer. Our 2 cats also favoured this room. Lovely views from most of the windows and the garden space was good, though could use a couple of outside seats. Everything very clean and fresh but still retaining a traditional touch. The local area is absolutely gorgeous and we were blessed with a whole week of sunshine. Within a short drive you can get to Castle Tioram and a longer drive, but well worth it, is a trip out to Ardnamurchan Point and Lighthouse. You can also take in the Natural History and Heritage museum en route or on your way back, or a distillery visit if that is more your thing. Good places for food within reach; especially good in Acharacle are Cafe Tioram for breakfast/lunch (and an internet fix as there isn't any connection at the cottage), and Loch Shiel Hotel has good food and a pub. Also good for dinner is Mingarry. A little further, but worth it, is the Salen Hotel which is in a fantastic location for scenery, pub is nice and the food was good. I've travelled all over Scotland and have to say that Ardnamurchan is now one of my favourite parts of the country. Beautiful scenery, friendly folk, and wonderful wildlife. I would not recommend Dalilea Croft if you like city comforts, swanky nightclubs, or need to check your emails regularly, but if you want a technology detox and a truly beautiful place to unwind and reconnect to the universe, this is the place for you. Five out of Five.
