Our group of eight - two families of two adults and two young children (aged 5 and 3) - stayed for one week at the end of October 2014. I have to say it is one of the most stunning places we have stayed in. It is beautifully designed, very well equipped (I'm thinking of the amazing games room and pool - as well as sauna, plunge pool, Turkish baths...). Our group particularly made use of the table tennis - it became quite competitive! - as well as the sauna and poolside.
In terms of hospitality, Cahit and his team just couldn't do enough for us. No request was too much, and requests were responded to promptly and kindly. A fantastic host with a fantastic rental place.
If I had to give a criticism, my only one would be that it is quite hard to find. We arrived in the middle of the night, and despite having sat nav and a printed detailed map from home, we really struggled to find the place at first. Streets generally look very similar in the dark and in a foreign country, and once you get very close to the property it is very easy to miss a right turn that doesn't exist on maps or satnav. Perhaps future guests could be provided with a tailored map which shows the property location...
All in all, we had an amazing week thanks to Cahit's hospitality and an amazing villa. Many thanks!!
An amazing villa to stay in,known locally as The Glass Villas. We were in a party of 12,and able to find our own space. We drew lots for rooms, and my husband and I finished up with the smallest (akin to a cupboard) given the structure of the building, the design was pretty awful.
The kitchen is very badly equipped,no large bowls,we couldnt use the microwave,as there was no turntable,we had to ask for T towels, and cutlery, and we had very few towels ie had to use the same towels for the pool and shower,so not good.
The caretaker on site was super Shukru, very helpful(he removed a wasp nest from under the table !)
There are no local resturants, you have to have a car to stay here, there are Kebab bars.
The views are stunning and it is private and quiet ,apart from cockerals who start to crow at midnight!!
We ate at the Navigator in Kermer, food took an hour to arrive, and we didnt drink wine 60 TL (cheapest )
We ate also at Sevhus Karrakoc on the mountain road, which was excellant ,charming staff ,and very good food .It was great to be away from a tourist area, and we had an excellant time, but,it is basic, one assummes the owners expect people to eat out all of the time !Instructions on how to get there would have been helpful( we arrived at 11pm in Antalya ,and thankfully the ice cream palour was open, and the owner took us there by car(in the village)
The villa is located in Aslanbucak 4 km from the resort of Kemer and the beaches. The Taurus mountains come down close to the sea in this area and visitors to Kemer have the benefits of the sea and the mountains within close proximity. Local shopping and cafes are 10 minutes walk away while the centre of the resort of Kemer with its many restaurants and marina is 5 minutes by car. Local attractions include the ancient city of Phaselis 15 minutes by car where visitors can explore the ruins and swim and picnic; Mount Tahtali (2365 metres) where a cable car takes you to the summit with a restaurant and spectacular views of the sea; and jeep rides into the Goynuk canyon and the national park hinterland.
