Beautiful farmhouse about 150 years old. It is named after my great grandmothers farm in New England and filled with some of the same furniture. However, it is totally renovated with modern bathrooms, kitchen, and infra structure yet all the period features remain. It isn't remote but far enough away that it allows visitors to savour the serenity and agricultural heritage of the county. The house is large with one bedroom downstairs, 2 living areas, 2 sets of stairs making it ideal for a multigenerational family, a girls weekend , or a couples weekend.

About Beth Powell
I am an American who ended up in Canada- McGill then one thing after another.I am a physician practicing in Toronto. my late husband and I bought this place years ago so that our children would have a taste of small town life...yes I was home sick and this reminded me of home. We basically camped out here with the children. It had been our plan to renovate and we did so less than four years ago. I now spend weekends when I am not working. Last year some of the vegetables rotted because of my hospital commitments. A friend in the county and I were talking and Sue and I thought I should rent it out when I'm not there so a plan was hatched! I travel extensively and have done a lot of medivac work. I am a VRBO user myself. Sue lives locally, and is a talented gardener . She is an avid sailor and has lived in the Caribbean, Europe and B.C. I hope our enthusiasm for travel will make us excellent hosts. We really want to introduce PEC to other travellers.
Beth Powell purchased this Farmhouse in 1988
Why Beth Powell chose Prince Edward
It's unique location..rural but not remote. Although there are many century homes in the county I know of few which have been renovated to this standard. It is furnished as a family home and not as a rental so family pieces and my antique print collection will be yours to enjoy. The kitchen is well stocked but my personnel stuff will be hidden away so you won't find my socks in the drawers. It is located on the taste trail near the friendly village of Milford. It is a quick walk to the Maritime Museum.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
Fresh vegetables which are yours to enjoy. All linen and towels supplied( Frette sheets). No hidden costs ie no cleaning fees ect. There is a welcoming patio with a Weber gas grill. The great room is so open that you can watch the surrounding fields change color as the sun sets. The cows and sometimes sheep in the surrounding fields remind you that this was at one time a working farm. Sue lives close so she will, welcome you, introduce you to the house and the county and be back up,if there are issues.

Wonderful Thanksgiving weekend in The County!
Thank you Beth for letting us stay at your beautiful property! Our family loved being in the country. Lots of room to move and run and cycle 😁. The cows were an extra special treat (Leon did not chase them but they chased him!). Long Dog winery was a nice walk too. We hope to come back again soon. The house is really special and it would be perfect for 4 couples for a wine and cycling weekend. Thanks again!!
Really nice accommodations in a very beautiful, pastoral setting.
Quiet, rural setting with splendid sunrise and sunset views. The house has all the facilities in each of 4 bedrooms with ensuite in 2/4 bathrooms. Kitchen and common areas were beautifully decorated making for a welcoming, homey atmosphere. Although we brought supplies for meal preparation, the kitchen was well-stocked and well-equipped. Everything surpassed our expectations. I look forward to return visits and would certainly recommend this property.
Beautiful country house!
We had a wonderful time in Prince Edward County. This house is lovely, great for our family (my parents, my sister, my husband, myself, and 3 kids, 5yo, 3yo and a baby), as well as our dog. A few things to be aware of - the water is well water so we drank bottled water or used the Brita provided, and couldn't fill up a kiddie pool or use a sprinkler for the kids, but we did use the tap water to wash food etc. Also, one of the beds is smaller than the others (double?). That being said, the home was beautiful and had everything we could possibly need (condiments, spices, jam, soaps, shampoo, etc) as well as the pass to Sandbanks which the kids loved. They saw a rabbit in the yard and were running around outside all day. The fridge was spacious, there were tons of dishes, plastic cups for outside/kids, etc. The stars at night were just unbelievable, but we were a short drive from anywhere we wanted to go. One of the bedrooms was on the main floor while the others were upstairs, perfect for a bit of privacy, or a baby not yet sleeping through the night. Susan, the property manager, was lovely. We had a problem in that the air conditioning wasn't working and it was a holiday weekend. She brought the repair person in twice and even brought fans from her own home. They were eventually able to fix it and Beth, the owner, was very reasonable in working with us about this.
Wonderful place, wonderful house
Super nice house with everything you need. the kids AND the adults loved their stay
We will be back for sure
Wonderful home in Prince Edward County
This is a lovely property - great for families. Very comfortable, great beds and country-chic décor.
Second time staying here with a group of friends over the winter holiday, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The place is private, clean, and the absolute coziest! We look forward to coming to stay sometime in the summer! Thanks to Beth and Susan - see you soon :)

There is a $30 additional fee if a pet is one of the guests. It is a one time cleaning fee...rug shampooing.
