Ask a questionAbout Jonathan Loy
We live in the U.S. Virgin Islands where Neil started a telecommunications company in1987 that is now publicly-traded and owns operations in the U.S. and Caribbean. We personally own and operate Coral World Ocean Park, a marine park and tourist attraction on St. Thomas as well as a restaurant, the Old Stone Farmhouse. We both grew up in the U.S. Northeast. Neil attended the Holy Cross College and Trudie graduated from Tufts University. We are both former lawyers (Neil a graduate of Harvard Law School and Trudie a graduate of Washington College of Law, American University).
Jonathan Loy purchased this Castle in 2011
Why Jonathan Loy chose Sadirac
As lovers of French wine, we decided we would like our own vineyard. Having traveled in the beautiful and historic Bordeaux region previously, we began our search here and found the perfect castle in a perfect setting. And here we planted our vines.
What makes this Castle unique
The chateau is a fairytale castle complete with turrets in a secluded park-like setting. The house is full of surprising architectural details like the massive fireplace in the kitchen, the elegant central staircase, the turret sitting area in one of the bedrooms, and the copper tub in one of the bathrooms. Deer and partridge visit the lawn. Dining al fresco on the terrace overlooking the vines on a warm, sunny day is glorious.
