Very nice place to stay. Previous comments mentioned dogs barking and interstate noise. We never had any of this. 10 minutes Uber to broadway. Planning to stay there again next year. Keith
Good family time in an amazingly decorated house
This house worked very well for us. We really enjoyed the large covered back patio. House was very well provisioned with supplies. The mid-century decor was unbelievable, I kept finding more and more cool things at every turn. The only downside was hearing the Interstate when outside and one of the beds is a full size not queen as advertised and is also worn out.
The cutest and most unique place to stay!
We had the best experience for a 3 night stay in Nashville! Our host was more than accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our stay. The place was cozy, very comfortable, and came witj pretty much everything you would need for a long weekend! The retro touches made the place and we cannot wait to stay here again for our next trip to Nashville next year. Thank you!!!
Fun and clean
The property was great for our needs. The 60's-70's feel it has going was fun. Everything all the way down to the dishes reminded someone in our party about something from the past. Bathrooms were clean and nice. Two of the three bedrooms had comfortable beds. The third bed could be improved to something a little more comfortable. Our overall experience was great and we would definitely stay here again!!
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in this adorable, old fashioned home. The whole house is decorated in a 1960's era decor. You could tell that a lot of attention and time went into making the house feel like a home. If we ever visit Nashville again we will definitely stay here.
First VRBO Stay was Great!
I spent a considerable amount of time doing research on hotels and other VRBO properties before deciding to stay at this home for a week. It turned out to be a great decision.
The home, which is truly decorated in 1965 fashion, was everything the posting showed. Don't go there expecting 2016 design; you won't find it. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of dishes, utensils and cookware available to our family. The WI-FI worked well, the television, laundry and other conveniences of the home also were up to standard. The air conditioning kept the house nice and cool on those sweltering Nashville days. There is also a gate to park your vehicle behind the house during the night. In the backyard is a grill, fireplace and several chairs.
Although we didn't meet Narum in person, he was also prompt with responses to any of our questions. He didn't let us down in anyway and from the comments in the guest book, it didn't look like anyone else had been disappointed with their stay.
If you decide to stay here, it is only 20 to 25 minutes from the Grand Ole Opry and Opryland (east side of Nashville). Downtown is a simple 10 minute drive (park in the library parking ramp). Although there is a Publix within 2 minutes of the house, there is also a Walmart and other stores located about 5 minutes away. Additionally, a large shopping center (Target, Dick's, Ross, Marshall's) is within 3 minutes of the house. Hattie B's Hot Chicken restaurant is also within 5 or 6 minutes. Take a 15 minute ride to the west to enjoy The Loveless Cafe. The house was convenient for everything our family wanted to do.
Are there downfalls? Depends...How do you feel about barking dogs? The property next door has two dogs who insisted on barking non-stop, while they were outside. They also charge the fence and jump at it when you enter the driveway or backyard. We did not let them bother us; however, I can see how it would bug some people. Otherwise, it was truly a great first experience with VRBO. If we return to Nashville, we will check on the availability of this property.
Only a 10-15 minute drive to Downtown Nashville, makes it easy to enjoy the nightlife of Broadway, visit the famous Ryman Auditorium, and see the Country Music Hall of Fame, among many other attractions. Nearby to several fine restaurants, you'll never be without places to eat.
