I worked as an actor for many years and as a radio broadcaster on the BBC, presenting arts programmes. I'm also very interested in cultural tourism projects and in 1996 created The Edinburgh Literary Pub Tour, an award winning tour performed by professional actors. WONDERFUL ELEGANT APARTMENT!!
Just got back home from Scotland yesterday and wanted to thank you for the use of your beautiful home for a memorable Christmas holiday. It worked out fabulously for our group of 7 plus our Frenchie Bruce and I would not hesitate to recommend your home to anyone looking for a convenient, comfortable and elegant place to hang a hat for an extended period of time, 14 days on this trip!
We spent countless hours in the living room enjoying our family, the fireplace, the warm ambiance and excellent Gin and wine!
As described, parking was readily available right outside the door with a beautiful park complete with a fenced in area for the dog to run off leash right across the street.
Beautiful old building with a ton of character in a very convenient location away from the downtown core yet with easy access via cab, car or bus.
This is the second time I have used one of Morris's properties for our family vacation and I cannot say enough about his prompt, professional and genuine attitude.

The beautiful beaches of East Lothian are approx 30 minutes away by car, with the nearest "town beach" of Portobello just 10 mins away by car or bus.
Edinburgh is a bit of a village and very accessible on foot with an excellent bus service. The airport bus will take you to Waverly Station in about 25 mins, where I would recommend hopping into a taxi which, will deliver you to the door in approx 10 minutes. If you do decide to hire a car for day trips etc then there is free and easy parking on the street directly outside the apartment.
Stirling and the Wallace Monument - approx 1 hour by train from Waverly.
St Andrews - approx 1.5 hours by bus or slightly shorter by train to Leuchers and then on by bus from there.
Highlands and Loch Ness approx three hours. There are many excellent day trip and longer journeys available from a host of company's via The Visit Scotland website.
large Tesco supermarket just at the end of the street. Large Liddel supermarket (much cheaper with a quirky continental range) one block round the corner. Marks and Spencers is located at The Ocean Terminal Shopping Center a mere 10 minutes in a taxi. Leith is a haven for excellent bars and restaurants and various guide books and eating/drinking guides will be available in the apartment.
Additional information about rental rates
Booking Notes: 50% of total rental fee is payable in advance to secure your dates. The remainder is payable six weeks prior to arrival. Terms and conditions of booking are sent out with a confirmation email at time of booking. A security deposit is authorized against a credit card, but only processed (subject to duration of stay) in the unlikely event of damages etc. The housekeeper or the owner will be there to welcome you, show you round and pass on the keys. Changeover Day: Check-in is normally by 14.00pm and check-out by 11am unless by prior arranagement. Notes on prices: Prices are subject to change at the owners discretion and are based on 2-4 people sharing. Price on request for five occupancy. The owner reserves the right to charge £50.00 fee in the event of late check-in or check-out, whereby no prior information or change of schedule has been forwarded or arranged.
