Quiet, clean, comfortable!
Perfect place to come back to after a day of outdoor adventures. Very comfortable and meticulously cleaned. Private but close to everything.
Thank you so much for kind review. I am so glad to hear that you all enjoyed your stay - hopefully we will see you again someday at Stone Hollow! :) Robin
Cute, clean, rustic appeal
The place was very clean, Robin and Neal were very nice and we loved the look of the room. We booked a few days before our trip, so when we got there the room wasn't ready and we were informed they didn't know we were coming. They got the room together rather quickly for us- but we were asked to drive around for about an hour and come back. This was fine, but we were a little disappointed to not be given something back for the hassle. The only place to drive to and kill time was 20-30 min away each way so after driving 5 hours to get there on time, and then being asked to drive another hour- we were a little annoyed. Robin was very apologetic and things happen... But something would have been nice. Overall-i would recommend this place.
Beautiful property. Very comfortable studio with many extra touches. Very clean. Peaceful. Centrally located. Would not hesitate to stay again. Highly recommend.
Clean, Fresh, Modern Farmhouse
We just needed an inviting, comfortable, warm space with a hot shower to relax in after a day of snowshoeing. This place was perfect!
Peaceful and accommodating!
Wonderful host, beautiful setting and relaxing. Great for couple retreat to wine country.
Perfect week in Northern Michigan
My boyfriend and I are heading into our second year of law school and we really needed a relaxing but affordable vacation before classes started. We didn't know our schedule ahead of time and had to plan very last minute -- we contacted Robin the day before we wanted to arrive, and she responded within minutes letting us know the studio was available. She immediately answered all of our questions and we ended up booking the studio for six nights. When we arrived we were blown away by how beautiful the farm was, especially with the evening mist covering the fields and the horses in the distance. Robin met us when we arrived and showed us around the studio. She had taken care of everything we would need. Throughout the week, whenever we needed something like fresh towels, Robin brought them over right away. We also loved playing with Robin's two dogs, Winston and Gidget. Staying at the studio was like having our own private little spot in the middle of beautiful Leelanau County. The location was absolutely perfect for visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes and the peninsulas, plus it was completely secluded from the crowds in Glen Arbor and the other, bigger tourist towns. I feel like we really got to explore the whole area. We were 20 minutes from the amazing scenery of Sleeping Bear, 10 minutes from several perfect Lake Michigan beaches, and 25 minutes from Traverse City. Driving around the area was always fun and very scenic, between lake views, farms, and rolling hills. The fall colors were even coming out a little bit! It was the perfect week and exactly what we needed, and I can't imagine it having been so wonderful if had stayed anywhere else.
I am so glad that you loved Stone Hollow and the surrounding area....This is definitely the perfect spot for R&R! It was a joy to be your host - I hardly even knew that you were here. I wish you both success in law school - hopefully we will see you again to celebrate your graduation!? If you do re-book at Stone Hollow, make sure to message me and remind me that you have stayed here before ;-).
