Castle View House is a fine early Victorian town house dating from 1840, with later extensions at the rear. Run as a popular hotel from the 1930s up until 2012, it is now an unusually spacious holiday house. With a high ratio of living space to the number of bedrooms there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out as well as to come together to dine, converse and watch the ever changing seascape.
This is the ideal location for memorable holidays and for celebrating special events at all times of the year. Past guests have included four generation extended families and groups of walkers, artists and Iron Man competitors. The house sleeps up to fourteen in spacious comfort with eight bedrooms (seven en-suite) and a top-spec family bathroom. The magnificent first floor drawing room has spectacular views through the vast bay window of the harbour, the castle (of course!) and out to sea. Sociable meals can be taken around the huge antique table in the dining room, and when you can drag yourselves away from the view there is a home cinema room with Sky+ and dvd player (a second tv and dvd in the Sun Room helps avoid any squabbles over viewing choices). The Games Room contains a full sized table football and an upright piano should you wish to accompany matches with a rousing anthem or two. There is wifi throughout the house.
The good-sized garden is enclosed and sunny, with a paved courtyard, lawns, decked seating platform and barbecue area. There is a private car parking area at the bottom of the garden, with four to six spaces for the exclusive use of our guests - a real bonus in Tenby - with additional parking if needed available close by at North Beach car park.
