Birch Sleeps 2 (1 Bedroom)
About laurain wallace
We like the country life with all our animals, which do make us laugh a lot with their silly ways, and I feel so lucky to get up every morning and have the views of the North downs. It's nice to have friends and guest enjoy it as much as myself and my partner Mick.
laurain wallace purchased this Cottage in 1970
Why laurain wallace chose Maidstone
My partners parents bought the property, to get out of London. They fancied a bit of the good life. I moved here about 7 years ago after meeting Mick on a building site in 2000, at first I found it rather remote from the town life, but to be honest we are very central for many thing, Dover, London, beautiful coast lines, Canterbury and even a pizza delivery service which we never had when I first moved here.
What makes this Cottage unique
The fantastic views of the North downs from the cottages and the abundant wildlife you can watch from the comfort of your patio area or take a stroll up the garden and feed the chickens, ducks and geese, Bubble and Squeak our Alpacas love a piece of apple.

Birch Cottage in Kent
Lovely little cottage . Very comfy and well appointed .
The hosts were very welcoming and helpful .
We enjoyed 7 days here . And would definitely recommend to our friends .
We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us it was a pleasure to host you both and thank you for our wonderful review.
Lovely cottage, well furnished and clean. Great outdoor areas and lovely little animal pens for the grandchildren to marvel at the beasts!
Dogs were happy and could walk round the garden without having access to the animals.
Only thing missing was a dish towel in kitchen for dishes drying. Forgot to mention it to the very friendly owner.
I must apologise for the missing t-towel I would have bought you some if you'd let me know but we are pleased you enjoyed your stay.
Cozy little sunny cottage
Our cottage was a perfect base of operations for a Kent holiday, with easy access to all the big roads and train stations. It is nested between train tracks and motorway, but they don't disturb the quiet of the smallholding.
We loved the animals, it was great to be able to walk up to them and unwind at the pens after a busy day of sight-seeing. The cottage was well-stocked, and everything was clean and in working order. Laurain went out of her way to make us feel at home, without interrupting our break.
Would definitely recommend Stable Oak cottages to others!
We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your note when you left all comments are very welcomed, hopefully you will return to visit us again.
Very nice, clean, modern and property
Lovely small cottage in an attractive setting.
Could do with shelf/drawer space in bedroom and a few more mugs and glasses.
Thank you for your feedback we will look at more draw space for the bedroom and we will happily give more mugs and glasses if requested.
Lovely cottage with all amenities. Plenty of room . Clean and welcoming. Thank you so much.
We enjoyed our stay and very welcoming. So nice to meet the owners on site. Lovely veiws from the window. So neat and all the Animals were fab. Plenty of places to visit within a few miles. We loved Faversham and Lenham.
Visited Drogdale Fruit Farm. Amazing Place! Also The Friars where the Pilgrims visit every year. Well worth a visit.
Beautiful cottage, in lovely grounds.
We had a lovely week in this beautiful cottage, surrounded by animals. The whole place is very well managed, with animals in good secure pens, with loads of space, but meaning our jack Russell could not get to the animals, had she escaped from the cottage. Cottage has everything you need and owners are really nice and helpful, giving details of good walks and places to visit. Very relaxing stay, would happily recommend to others.
Mick and I are so pleased you all enjoyed your holiday with us it was a pleasure to have you stay and thank you for leaving the cottage so nice hopefully we'll see you in the future if you plan another trip to Kent
