Ocean Walk is a great place for a vacation or weekend get away! The property is nicely maintained and there are many amenities to make your stay more comfortable. There are two swimming pools for guest use, one of which is heated. A beautiful pond is available for fishing, feeding the ducks or just sitting around and relaxing. If you are interested in being more active, a tennis court is available on site or you can work out in the fitness center in the complex clubhouse.
Pier Village is less than a mile from the condo complex and offers a variety of dining and shopping opportunities. A playground and miniature golf course is close by for children and the young at heart. You can visit the lighthouse ,which is a big part of St. Simons history, and go fishing or crabbing on the pier. St. Simons has great biking trails and bicycles can be rented from a variety of places across the island. If you enjoy beach activities, Massengale Park and the Coast Guard Beach are only a few minutes away and offer access to beaches along the Atlantic Coast. For water enthusiasts, you can rent kayaks and boats at Pier Village or at some of the local marinas.
The condo unit itself has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It can sleep seven comfortably with a King bed, Queen bed, twin bed and bunk bed. Internet and wi fi is available within the unit. Two televisions with DVD players are available, one in the living area and one in the Master Bedroom. The kitchen features a refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, toaster oven and dishwasher. The Ocean Walk complex features a laundry building which houses washers and dryers for guest use.

Unfriendly neighbors but well stocked
This property was very well stocked with everything you would need. The only issue I had with the property itself was that the hot water runs out fairly fast with 6 people staying there. Overall this owner is very attentive and this condo is well kept. We had an issue with a neighbor because she stated that we were playing too much “Hip Hop” music which she wasn’t comfortable with. She said it was too loud which was probably due to her having her door open the entire time....it was only a portable speaker that we were using. She called the cops on us after she was aggressively beating on the door and wouldn’t announce who she was. The social temperature in the world is extremely heightened right now so I’m very attentive to verbiage and body language. This lady was clearly unhappy that we were a group of black people staying in her community. She told us we were nobodies and she’s an owner. I have never been so offended in my life, besides I paid money to stay here. She kept reiterating that we were listening to hip hop music (which was actually r&b) which tells me she has a problem with the color of our skin. This area is more of a retirement community so it’s not for the young, young at heart, or sadly black people.
I am so sorry that you had problems with a neighbor in our condo complex. Unfortunately, in condo complexes like this some bad apples do exist and they can overshadow the vast majority of kind people that live there. We have addressed a problem with neighbors before but I’m not sure if these are the same ones that you are speaking of. Thank you for your review and honesty.
great location. I traveled with my brother’s family to attend a wedding and this condo was perfect. I had a bedroom to myself and the three kids had their own room. Clean, simple and affordable. We were able to walk to the pier every night, except one (rain), and the village is a great place for dinner and coffee. My sister in law loved the coffee shop. Can’t remember the name but they have live music. The complex had two pools and tennis court. The grounds were also very well kept. Will definitely stay again. The owner directed us to all the great restaurants and we loved them all. The owner, Mike, turned us on to all the local historic sites and restaurants. Great experience.

Great Condo! Beautifully decorated, very clean and so well stocked. Everything you need in the kitchen if you do prepare meals there. Great Pools, especially the larger pool-Pretty! Great location-so close to everything-Beaches, The Pier, The Parks, The Village & Restaurants. Thanks Mike & Melody for a great "getaway!"

Great Location - Wonderful Getaway
We had a great stay at this condo! The location on the island was absolutely perfect! We had a golf cart for the weekend but easily could have used a bike or walked. Red Fern was just a little distance in one direction, and the Pier Village was about the same distance in the other direction and the beach was about the same distance too! There are a lot of books and magazines in the unit with details on everything in the area.
We didn't cook in the unit but there appeared to be plenty of items in the kitchen which was fully stocked. We just took the easy way out and ate out at all the great restaurants that are nearby.
The complex was very quiet and well maintained. Feeding ducks, fish and turtles in the pond was nice. Everyone waved as we drove in and out of the complex which made it feel like home. Beds were very comfortable and everything was well maintained. We would certainly recommend this unit. We traveled as two couples so each had a their own bathroom. Parking was never an issue and we were always right out front.
The owner was SUPER responsive to any questions that I sent by email and very easy to work with. I'd also highly recommend a few restaurants very easy to get to from this unit: ECHO (King and Prince resort, great location and live music), Fancy Q Sushi (Red Fern, great lunch special), Mallory St Cafe (across from DQ). We rented a golf cart from Island Carts and they dropped it and picked it up at no cost, they were also super easy to work with. From this unit we went all the way north to the fort without any issues. We parked our car and didn't use it again until we had to head back home! Groceries, site seeing, dinner - all on the cart because we were in the middle of everything here!
Ocean Walk is located approximately one mile from Pier Village which has an assortment of restaurants, bars and retail shopping available. A park with water activities and fishing pier is also available. St. Simons Lighthouse is near Pier Village and is a popular tourist attraction. Massengale Beach is approximately one mile away and is a popular place for swimming and beach activities. A variety of retail shops and restaurants are available around the island including a couple of major grocery stores. Bars and nightlife offering live music can be found throughout the island especially in the Redfern Village and Pier Village areas. St. Simons offers world class golf courses for golf enthusiasts. For fishermen, a variety of inshore and offshore charters are available to suit beginners and experienced anglers alike. Jekyll Island is approximately twenty minutes away and offers a variety of beach activities as well as shopping, boating and fishing opportunities.Bicycling, birdwatching, kayaking, hiking and other outdoor activities are popular on St. Simons and neighboring Islands.Popular day trips include Savannah to the north and Jacksonville and St. Augustine to the south.
