Fantastic fishermans cottage
Had a really lovely stay, it has everything you need and exceptional quality homeware. Perfect location for both beach and town, would definitely recommend a stay!
Thank you Sid, It was a pleasure having you stay with us. Hope you came back soon.
Well set up apartment in a great street; easy access to beach & shops. Apartment is a little dark with stained wood and only a street view but has good amenities and wifi.
Charming cottage in a great location
A perfect cottage for a couple situated ideally close to the centre. The only drawback is having to unload at the rear entrance, which means you have to carry your luggage down, and then up, 42 steps!
Clean, perfect location, with everything we needed
When we arrived at the cottage everything was clean and perfect, with a lovely treat of biscuits and red wine waiting for us. All the rooms were a great size, and we even managed to get our sons travel cot in the kids room. The location was spot on! Close to everything and lots to do either direction from the cottage. Paul helped with some great recommendations for eating out and we tried a few. I only have one small niggle which would be a better plug for the bath that doesn't come out so easily.
Thank you for your review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay and the cottage suited your requirements. I'll attend to the bath plug soonest.
Quaint but in need of some maintenance work and better preparation for guests
The cottage was pleasant and a perfect location for us all. The only things that let it down were the general state of repairs of things like the windows, with catches having rusted off; the patio area wasn't very clean; several of the plates and cups weren't very clean, one cup was badly chipped and as a result I cut my hand. Some of the cutlery and utensils had dried food on them and the oven tray, wok and metal oven dish were covered with a greasy layer. For the cost of the stay, which I believe was reduced due to it having been a last minute cancellation, I really would not of expected to have such issues I have raised.
Thank you for your feedback.
We always ask guests to raise any issues during their stay so we can have the opportunity to put them right at the time. I shall raise your issues with our housekeepers and I know that they will be as disappointed as me that things appear not to be up to our usual standard.
Your other comments are confusing as the widow catch appeared to have been wrenched off and was refitted the day you left. The lamp standard that was broken in half was beyond repair and had to be disposed of. Again neither of these issues were reported at the time.
On Friday 21st July I received a text from you to say you were leaving a day early as the weather was awful. II asked if all was in order with the cottage and you replied everything was fine.
We have never charged a damage deposit in 10 years of renting our cottages and this is the first time we felt it would be useful as yours would not have been returned.
Would definitely recommend our stay at Fisherman's cottage
