A great base for a walking weekend. House was very well kept & equipped. 10 out of 10.
Lovely cottage, lovely location. The garden was particularly well used as the weather was fabulous.
Very comfortable house in quiet location. Good beds. Lady looking after the house a few doors down was very helpful.
Just what we wanted!
For four friends on a walking holiday, this was an ideal place to stay. The location is perfect - central but also really peaceful. The cottage is clean, cosy and very well-equipped, the beds are comfy and the washing/toilet facilities are excellent. We loved the wood burning stove in the living room. We all agreed this cottage was a real find, and hope to return again soon. Thank you to Suzanne who discreetly kept an eye on the property.
4th visit fantastic break lovely cottage fab location . Suzzanne was as helpful and friendly as ever we will be back. Loved it
Very comfortable cottage in great location
Our family of 5 had a very enjoyable stay in this cottage. It's extremely well equipped, spotlessly clean, the beds very comfortable, and we made good use of the wood burner as we had a run of cold rainy weather (arriving after a day of heavy snow!). The location was ideal as within easy walking distance of all Hathersage's amenities. We braved the open air pool one cold drizzly day(!), took a trip to Buxton and visited Derwent Reservoir. We also enjoyed a fabulous walk from Grindleford on our only sunny day. The Hathersage Social Club is to be recommended for amazing food and service. We'd definitely use this cottage again if we were staying in the area.
We are glad that your family enjoyed our cottage and made use of the local amenities and other sites. We hope to be able to welcome you all back at a future date.
