It is the house with the tower of the 14th century, in the middle of the byzantine castle in the medieval city of Rhodes, at 3, Hipparchou Street, near the main Street of the Knights. The geographical position of Rhodes on the marine crossroads of the eastern Mediterranean and the contact with different cultures throughout its historical evolution, since its foundation in 408 BC, created a distinctive architectural feature. The traces of the dynamic tram of the Hippodamian town planning system of the ancient city are evident in contemporary Rhodes. But the medieval style characterizes the historic center. It is maintained the whole medieval town with its fortifications and numerous monuments of the period of Knights (1310-1522). The home of Hipparchus Street 3 is a two-storey with loft floor plan "G". The pointed doorway from the street leads to a spacious entrance and the wooden staircase.

Gorgeous hidden treasure in the old town
The apartment is delightful and very nicely renovated. Very clean and with a personal touch from the owner visible on the furniture and decors. The spacious courtyard is also a plus for the warm summer evenings. The host is also delightful and very available.
One small thing we noticed is the second wooden floor was a bit noisy to hear from below. But the noise was sporadic, it’s probably a verandas upsatir and not constantly used.
Overall we had a great stay and I would recommend anyone to stay here.
Amazing unique experience to live in the heart of a mediaeval city
My partner and I were blown away by this property. It was unlike anywhere else we have ever stayed and you could tell that it was designed and restored by architects - for a lover of historical homes this was incredible. Simple, uncluttered, stunning courtyard and roof terrace literally a minute’s walk from the most famous street in the Old Town. Everything was perfectly arranged for us beforehand, Alexia made sure we had all the information we needed find the property. We loved it so much we didn’t leave the house half as much as we thought to explore - it was just so nice to relax in. It was the absolute favourite part of our holiday and, if we ever return to Rhodes, we will definitely try to stay here again.
Thank you very much for the kind review. We would love to welcome you again in our house. :)
Lovely property in a superb location with great hosts
This stay was an absolute bargain for the standard and location. The apartment is clean and up to standard. The owners were flexible and welcoming. The key benefit to this property is its amazing location, it’s close to all the major sights of the old town. Make sure you plan how you’re going to get there! We got the bus but then the walk was a little confusing the first time due to the mazy nature of the old town. After we got our bearings it was fine. Would highly recommend.
Stylish, comfortable living in the Knights Quarter
Very nice, well-equipped apartment. Location couldn't be better. We particularly liked how the hosts looked after us. Highly recommended.
Enriched our time in Rhodes
Staying in castle made our stay in Rhodes so much better. Walking streets in Castle is difficult because they are rocks. Front door was hard to lock. Had an enjoyable experience and will recommend to everyone.
A unique experience of a living medieval city!
We came to Rhodes to explore the incredible medieval city and had the unique experience of staying in accommodation which was called House in the Quarter of the Knights which has been beautifully restored by its owners. It is minutes from the Palace of the Grand Master ,right in the heart of the medieval city, so it is perfectly suited for exploring and returning for a rest throughout the day. You can walk to any restaurant in and outside the city walls and you can reach all the shops and beautiful harbours. The property is clean ,with ample space, a kitchen ,living room area, dining area and bedroom. The owners are exceptionally hospitable and speak Greek, French and English fluently. I can highly recommend this to anyone who wants to experience the true meaning of Rhodes. Thank you.
The house offers easily access to the surrounding monuments, the palace of the Grand Master, the Inn of Spain, the garden of the archaeological museum, the mosque of Suleiman and especially the medieval port with its fortifications and cruise ships.
