Villa in Dalyan, Aegean Region, Turkey - Quiet Part Of Town 4 Minute Walk Away From Centre
- english, turkish
I live in the Midlands of England and have 2 children who both love staying at the Villa and visiting friends at the resort. We spend most of our holidays in Turkey, travelling there at least twice a year where we have made many good friends and have really fallen in love with this beautiful country. The resort is a brilliant place for a holiday or even a winter break and the villa is superbly located on the fringe of the resort, only a few minutes walk in to the town centre.
Paul purchased this Villa in 2010
Why Paul chose Dalyan City Center
We love Dalyan because of the fantastic facilities in the area, the wealth of local history and the stunning natural beauty, We originally purchased a property in 2004, but have since "upgraded" to a larger more suitably located property, There is a fabulous (world famous) beautiful beach and the resort offers a great range of bars and restaurants. There really is something for everyone here. The area is easily accessible with Dalaman airport less than 30 mins drive away.
What makes this Villa unique
The property is just a short stroll from restaurant’s, bar’s and the middle of the town. We provide beach towels and all laundry, hairdryer, music and books (so you can bring what you want…not what you need!) All mod cons including LCDTV in the Living Room along with Flatsceen Widescreen TV & DVD Players in the Bedrooms. All rooms including the bedrooms have Air conditioning and there is a separate Fridge and Freezer, to ensure a home from home kitchen. There are 2 bicycle’s included in the rental of the villa, along with the use of a security safe for your belongings if you feel the need,

Fantastic spacious villa
Had a great 2 week holiday in Dalyan staying at Paul's villa Martin, spacious living area with 3 double sized bedrooms, 2x showers/toilets, plenty of room round the table on the covered patio and a fair sized, clean, swimming pool, with separate baby pool.
Location is perfect, only a 5 minute walk into town with supermarkets close by.
Paul the owner was very helpful from the word go, even checking up on us during our stay, oh a thoughtfull welcome pack was waiting for us when we arrived at 5am.
All in all I would recommend villa Martin to anyone looking for a 3 bed villa close to the town center and I've stayed in 4 different villas in Dalyan over the past 5 years !😎😎😁
Clean tidy and plenty of room. 5 minute walk from main town.
Great location. Clean and tidy. This was our first time in Turkey and Dalyan was perfect.
Villa Martin - Dalyan
Just got back from a 2 week stay at Villa Martin, the villa is in a great location 5 mins from the town and river. The villa had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and the owner Paul was very informative and helpful even messaging us to make sure everything was ok. A great time was had by all.
As good a s promised !!
Villa is close to the town but not in it, but just a few hundred yards walk to the local bars / restaurants,
It is set in a very small secluded complex with the villa set within its own corner plot away from the other villas located within its own grounds.
The villa was found to be exactly as described, with all the white goods in the kitchen(that I didn't use) except for a quick 1 load of cloths before returning home. Air con in all rooms with a SUPERB penthouse bedroom.
Plenty of DVDs & books for the adults, along with loads of inflatables for the kids to keep amused in the pool.
Would have loved to have stayed another week, and nothing was to much trouble for the owner or his rep in resort, Oh and the cycles kept us fit as well.
Thank-you for the great review, great to hear from you and for you to take the time to write the review,
A lovely villa in a very quiet setting on the edge of town, A few minutes walk to any part of the town. so great and local for leisurely walks to the restaurants on the evenings and more importantly not to far to walk back after a few wines or beers.
The villa has a great view of the pool, but just set back a little in its own little peace of paradise.
We used the cycles nearly every day, if only for fetching the fresh bread from the bakers for our daily breakfast which we always had on the sun terrace.
Already booked for the same time next year
Thank you for your review, I hope to see you in Dalyan this year,,
see you soon Paul & Hannah
Just as described
Lovely Villa very conveniently situated for the centre of Dalyan.
Spacious and well appointed. Clean. Would definitely recommend.
Welcome Pack with all our requirements waiting for us.
Special interest holidays:
There are an amazing range of habitats in the local area; from the reed beds north of the town to the Koycegiz Lake. With many species of birds, from White Tailed Eagles to Red-rumped swallows, expert birders and amateurs would struggle not to have a great birding holiday. We can organise guided walking tours through areas. We manage perfect accommodation for large groups throughout the year, that are great for comfortable relaxation when not out in the wilderness.
Walking groups taking international excursions are aware of the amazing possibilities available to walkers and ramblers in and around Dalyan, Turkey. There are a number of great walks to be done in the local area; from the walk up to Candir and Kaunos over stunning mountains and rock tombs, to the Liquid Amber Fosrets of Dalyan. The Famous Lykian Way walk of 300+km across the southern coast of Turkey, is a trekking holiday for the hardcore (especially in the summer).
Dalyan is a town in Mugla Province located between the well-known districts of Marmaris and Fethiye on the south-west coast. The town is an independent municipality, within the administrative district of Ortaca
Dalyan achieved international fame in 1987 when developers wanted to build a luxury hotel on the nearby Iztuzu Beach, a breeding ground for the endangered loggerhead sea turtle species. The incident created major international storm when David Bellamy highlighted their intentions.
The nearest airport is Dalaman which is a 20 minutes drive away. Once in Dalyan car hire is not essential we are very central to town and town itself is small and everything in easy walking distance.
Everything is within walking or cycling distance in Dalyan. (2 cycles provided with the villa) This villa is only a 5 minute walk to the nearest supermarket, and it is the same distance to local restaurants, bars and cafes and the river. Fethiye and Olu Deniz are 50 minutes drive away. Marmaris is about 75 minutes drive. Both of those towns also have ferries to Rhodes.
Dalyan town itself is compact stretching only a mile in any direction from the centre and is framed by a glorious backdrop of pine clad mountains in every direction. The flatness of town make it a perfect place for walking with children and the elderly and a delight to cycle around. For more active holidaymakers there are forests and hiking hills all within walking distance. Dalyan is also distinguished by the lack of package tourists though there are still plenty of bars and restaurants to cater for all tastes. If you can’t find the items you want in the shops there is a sweet local market on Saturdays.
