Absolutely lovely property
Stayed in August - family with three kids.
Location - on a hillside in Provence overlooking hills and forests. Walking distance to local town and to la cascade with plenty of wild swimming. Quiet, private property.
Facilities - everything you need and at a higher standard than your regular holiday rental. Summer kitchen too. Pool is lovely, diligently maintained and not overly managed with chemical additives. Sun loungers etc and good provision to play music and really relax
Booking process - very easy and smooth. Housekeeper there to meet you and comes to take the key when you leave.
Summary - Highly recommended.
This really is a beautiful property. It is built externally in the traditional style, but inside everything is modern and tasteful. The property is clean and well maintained and the housekeeper is very helpful. It has everything you need: TV, modern cooker, all cooking utensils and a utility room. There are also bikes and helmets for the energetic.
The pool is a good size with a pool room which also houses a large barbeque. The garden is well kept and the view to the valley is very tranquil. There are neighbours, but they are far enough away not to be noticed. The village of Sillans is a 10 minute walk away and has a couple of good restaurants and a bar. There is also a patisserie. The new path to make the waterfall area safe is being built at the moment, so hopefully people will soon be able to walk to the pools. There are several lovely old villages within a short drive as well as the Lac de Sainte-Croix and the Canyon du Verdon a bit further on.
It's a lovely place to visit and is much more attractive than the photos show.
We have stayed in lots of villas of the years but this has to be, by far, our favourite.
Stunning views and peaceful surroundings.
The villa itself is beautiful. The grounds are well maintained and the furnishings are of a really high quality.
The couple that looked after the villa were lovely and really helpful with advice on the area and not at all intrusive during our stay. The owner was accommodating with any requests.
We didn't travel too far as we only stayed for a week but enjoyed visiting Aups, where there was a lovely market one evening that's worth a visit. Also had a couple of great meals at Auberge de la Tour, the setting was lovely.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this villa to any of my family and friends. It really is a lovely place for a holiday.
