big, well provided, lots to do good pub with meals
Great family weekend
Stayed at this beautiful house for weekend with family for celebration we had a lovely stay the house was equipped with everything we needed would definitely return the pub just up from the house was lovely we had a lovely meal there only one thing to fault is the 10am check out on Sunday morning 😢
I'm sorry you were disappointed by the 10.am check out.
Unfortunately it is necessary due to the fact that cleaning and changing all the beds in a house that size takes some doing and when you have guests arriving at 2.00pm we need the full 4 hours.
Sorry once again.
It is a beautiful area for a holiday in the countryside.
The house was very nice and big enough for a large extended family group. Everything was clean and comfortable. People in Wigtown were very friendly. The pub is very handy and a very nice golf course is up the road.
Thanks for the positive comments on Rowallan.
Hope to see you again sometime.
Fantastic big house
We were a party of 8 adults and 6 children staying in this fabulous big house. Plenty of room for everyone and plenty of crockery, pots, pans, towels etc. The water pressure is awful tho and as a result trying to have a warm shower was out of the question but thankfully the house had a bath. There is no mobile reception or wifi at the house (not that it bothered us). There is a fabulous cozy pub 4 doors along which does great food at very reasonable prices. It advertises wifi but not one of us could connect. The house had a tv in the main living room and there was a small tv with built in dvd so our children were able to watch movies for a while. The kitchen has a dishwasher and 2 ovens, an elctric hob, kettle cand toaster -- its very well equipped.
Overall a great house for a large family gathering but just dont plan on being able to have a warm shower in the morning.
Thanks for your review.
Sorry about the water pressure -unfortunately that is the whole street not just Rowallan. Shame about the Wifi at the pub but most people usually manage it so I can only guess there was something wrong with it while you stayed.
