Very spacious comfortable house
We had a short 1 night stay on our way to Ayrshire and we loved the space and the little garden area. We would definitely recommend this place for large groups
Great location, Ok value, needs a refurb and some TLC
This is a good location and there there are so many beautiful places on the machars peninsula but the property is in dire need of some TLC or even just a good clean. It was filthy when we arrived but luckily the contact at the pub sorted that straight away and did a couple of hours of cleaning which made it accessible but we wanted to get on with your holiday so they didn't do the upstairs the whole place needs dusting polishing and generally damp and things need addressing. Other people's things in the draw in the bedroom. Rolling tabacco everywhere. No bulb in the ensuite. Advertised baby gates were not available nor welcome pack. Though we had plenty of glasses, cutlery etc. It was good not to have to worry about having children in the property as there wasn't lots of fancy ornaments. It's a funny layout and the bathroom situation was difficult with so many people.
Also no wifi, nice idea but when the house was a phone reception dead zone and the whole world revolves around internet use (ie booking the local distillery tour on line) it was a bit of a bind in the end.
I did love the quilted blankets on the beds, beautiful.
Great location and we love this part of Scotland and although the house was not hugely expensive, given the issues it didn't feel like the best value.
Super large cottage near Wigtown
We had a lovely few days in your house. The house was spacious and warm and had everything we needed. The description and photographs are a true reflection of the house. We went for some lovely walks nearby and the pub 4 doors away is warm and welcoming, we would definitely like to return.
Jane and co.
Fantastic short stay (just a shame we were unable to stay longer)
We had lovely time at this home and will definitely be returning, thanks again.
Thanks for your review.
I look forward to seeing you back at Rowallan soon
Great family weekend
Stayed at this beautiful house for weekend with family for celebration we had a lovely stay the house was equipped with everything we needed would definitely return the pub just up from the house was lovely we had a lovely meal there only one thing to fault is the 10am check out on Sunday morning 😢
I'm sorry you were disappointed by the 10.am check out.
Unfortunately it is necessary due to the fact that cleaning and changing all the beds in a house that size takes some doing and when you have guests arriving at 2.00pm we need the full 4 hours.
Sorry once again.
