Eric is very passionated by renovation of old stone built cottage. Now they offer their house to holiday makers and hoping that the charm of Brittany will do the same on the holiday makers. Eric and kathrine are bi-lingual.
Eric Despalin purchased this Cottage in 2008
Why Eric Despalin chose Brittany
We fall in love with Brittany because the costs are beautiful yet very wild and also the medival towns are very impressive.

Lovely rural location and very friendly owners. Perfect for a relaxing holiday.
Really spacious and private property and close to Dinan for everything you need!
Wonderful holiday home
We have just returned from 2 weeks staying in Megrit. We enjoyed every moment - exploring the beautiful Brittany countryside, beaches, local towns and villages. Relaxing at the gite was also greatly enjoyed with plenty of space for everyone and the pool to have fun in too. Eric and Katherine were fantastic hosts who gave great local knowledge for places to visit and restaurants to eat in. They were very kind and generous hosts who made us all feel very welcome.
I speak for both of our families when I say we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Eric and Katherine could not do enough for us, we got lost when arriving so they came and met us. They had left us a lovely welcome hamper but as it was late when we arrived and the supermarkets were closed they brought us extra suppplies round. The house was immaculate and renovated to a very high standard, the kids especially enjoyed the pool.
Dinan is lovely and we ended up spending a few days there, we ate at Zag which was a lovely pizzeria, we hired bikes and rode around the river and one day hired boats too. We also visited the market at Dinard and took the ferry across to Saint Marlo which is gorgeous. We also visited Fort La Latte which we all enjoyed. Definitely lots to c and do, the weather was a bit hit and miss but didn't stop us from doing anything. All in all we had a fab time and was sad to leave, hopefully we will return in the future.

The cottage is maintained to a high standard with fantastic facilities and exactly as the photo's - such comfy beds! Location is rural and you do need to travel but this comes with benefits of a relaxing environment.
Cannot fault the property.
Katherine and Eric were perfect hosts - and were there for any help and advice-.thank you.
Would highly recommend if you want to get away from it all.
Being so close to Dinan (20 mins) and other places it is an ideal place to explore from.

Great feature property with all the modern a essentials you need!
We stayed her for 1 week and it was fantastic. We had great weather so we're able to use the pool everyday. This was great as we has small children with us. The house was beautifully finished with all the modern equipment you would need. Especially in the kitchen, the only thing we couldn't fine was a cheese grater :) The owners were very friendly and checked in on us half way through. The location is very rural - extreamly quiet which was perfect for us!
We would defiantly recommend this place for other people looking for a similar holiday.
Thank you Eric and Katherine

Simply fabulous .....
What a gorgeous property we were four generations on holiday together mums, dads, children, grandparents and a great grandparent and we all had a fantastic time. We went the first week of August and we had a mixed bag of weather good weather at the beginning and end of our stay where we went to the beautiful beaches only about 30 minutes away. That said the pool was used every single day by the children they absolutely loved it and it made the holiday for the children.
The property is delightful as are the owners Eric and Katherine they live next door but are not intrusive but there if you need them, we had some lovely chats with them about much and in particular the surrounding area. The property is very well equipped and is a home from home we enjoyed family meals around the big kitchen table and bbq's outside it was perfect. The renovation of the property is proper quality and we all appreciated it.
The location is perfect you are rural so it's a countryside home and peaceful (except when our children were all in the pool splashing and playing 😊) but at the same time you are not far away from a supermarket and some villages. Dinan is only 15 mins away and we fell in love with it, everything about it is special the history, buildings, walks and the port. The walk around the cliffs and along the coastline of Dinard is wonderful amd the beach that Eric recommended was spot on Saint Cast le Guildo we even did windsurfing and ate at the restaurant Le Knells on the beach and drunk Breton cider out of cups wonderful.
Eric and Katherine you were dream hosts with a dream property thank you so much, we will be back!
It was lovely to meet you all, what a nice cheerful family... we had a great time with you too.
It was our first time to have 4 generations!!!!
Thank you for the nice review and we hope to see you again.
