This apartment is situated in Block 1 of the St James development. This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with sea views from the living room and both bedrooms and balconies. There is a very well-equipped fitted kitchen, a large open plan lounge area with 2-seater and 3-seater settees, Internet TV via Android TV Box, WiFi and air conditioning. In the dining area is a large table to seat 6 in comfort and a bed settee.

The apartment is a 5 minute stroll from the smart promenade and lovely sandy beach at Praia Da Luz, one of the best beaches in the Algarve. It's sheltered by magnificent coloured sandstone cliffs with spectacular cliff walks and edged by several rock pools. With many water sports activities, stylish beach side cafés, restaurants and bars, the beach is ideal for all tastes. Within 5km there are the beautiful beaches of Meia Praia, Dona Ana, Batata, Porto des Mos and many more small bays.

Luz is 6km west of the town of Lagos, where you can find a modern marina offering sea fishing & dolphin watching, many beaches, a wide range of shops, restaurants and bars. It is within easy reach of Monchique in the mountains and Cape St. Vincent, the most south-western point of mainland Europe. Seville and Lisbon can both be reached in under 3 hours.

Within the St James complex is a bank and a restaurant. Within 10 mins walk can be found supermarkets, a Dentist, a Pharmacy, a Doctors and a hairdressers- All English speaking. Luz also has a post office, other banks, as well as many restaurants catering to all tastes. It is advisable to book in high season. Family attractions such as Zoo Marine, water parks, crazy golf and Lagos Zoo are within easy reach of the apartment, discounted tickets can be purchased within Luz.

Why Neil Wilson chose Luz

We have been holidaying in Portugal regularly since we were married in the mid eighties and had always dreamt of owning our own property in the western Algarve. In 2004 we decided to take the plunge. After viewing several properties we were shown what is now our apartment in St James and fell in love with the sea views and spacious rooms. We holiday in our apartment at least twice a year, with our two children, although they are both now old enough to go their own way! Our aim is that the apartment should be a home from home for us and anyone who stays there.

The apartment was spotless, very comfortable and great amenities within. Pool was great and the complex was very peaceful especially of a night. Lots of great places to eat and drink, all at a very reasonable price. Loved the ice cream factory, the fort and the beautiful church dedicated to Our Lady of Light (Luz).

The local beach was ideal and within a short walk from the apartment, this was one of most beautiful beaches I have been to. I look forward to coming back and staying again. Have passed your details to some colleagues in work.

Direct flights are available from most UK regional and major airports to Faro International. Flying time is from 2 hours 30 mins to 3 hours. Faro is a pleasant 55 mins drive on the new A22 motorway. A train service operates from Faro to Lagos and it is just a short taxi ride from Lagos station. Transfers can be arranged if needed and with plenty of local buses and taxes available in Luz centre, it is not necessary to hire a Car. We operate a meet and greet service at the apartment and a welcome pack is available on request. Our management team are English speaking and have lived in the Algarve for many years they will be more than happy to assist you wherever they can. There is no firm day for changeover, although we do not allow Sunday arrivals. The apartment will be available from 2pm on arrival and should be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Subject to other bookings these times can be flexible.

Excellent apartment, with ALL the comfort we need to have wonderful holidays.

Stay was excellent : The apartment with all the comfort, the view on the sea, the size of the pool which is enough.


The people who goes to the pool with music and the people who "books" the sun lounger and leaves the pool during several hours before coming back.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. We are very happy that you had a good time and found our apartment comfortable. It is our aim to provide a home from home for our guests. Unfortunately we have little control over how people behave around the pool, although the lifeguard is supposed to speak to people who are behaving in an antisocial way, and also remove towels/bags from sun loungers if people are away for more than 30 minutes. I will let the pool manager know the life guard is not performing their duties.

wonderful property

the apartment is very nice and correctly located to travel though Algarve and to benefit from the convenience of Praia Da Luz and its place.

The apartment is very confortable, nice, and all what we need is available, even too ! The panorama from the balcony is very beautiful. The housekeeper are helpful too.

Absolutely lovely!

We took our three children on their first holiday abroad and I can not complain about anything! The apartment was very big, comfortable and had everything we could possibly have asked for which made our holiday very relaxing and enjoyable. The complex itself is clean, full of friendly people and is only about a ten minute walk from the lovely town of Praia Da Luz. My children aged 9, 5 and 2 loved it to the point they are desperate to visit again soon-this is something we will certainly be doing. Overall it is a beautiful apartment, close to everything you could possibly need in a gorgeous setting. The town is full of restaurants which would suit all tastes, there are supermarkets and lovely gift shops not to mention the beach-lovely! I would highly recommend this apartment and location to anyone, in particular families :)
