Unit #301 is one of 5 vacation rentals in the 8 condo complex. It is located on the 3rd floor, which is one flight of stairs from the front parking lot and below the 4th level condos. It is only an 8-10 minute walk to the base area and even less time skiing.

The condos are nestled in the European style architecture and high alpine setting in the Taos Ski Valley at 9,200 ft. Once you park your car, it's a short walk/ski beside the Rio Hondo River to purchase your lift tickets, catch the main base lifts, rent the latest ski and snowboard equipment, purchase those warm mittens, or sit beside a cozy fire for mulled cider, get snacks and/or a great meal.

This luxurious condo is beautifully furnished and fully equipped, 2 bedrooms, 2 bath with 1,034 sq. ft. The condo is bright and welcoming. It sleeps4-5, 2 in the Master King bed that can be split into two twins, 2 in a queen bed, and 1 on the couch which is not a sleeper sofa. There is a large 6 person counter height dining table that makes the living area seems somewhat limited. Large soft bath towels and white luxurious bed linens are supplies. Alternate down comforters, blankets, and a variety of pillows will keep your nights restful.

The St. Moritz complex was built and completed May 2011. I am a resident manager and live on site. The master craftsmanship, attention to detail, all the high end touches seen through out the units and the complex puts it in a class of it's own. The bright warm NM sun floods the condo throughout the day in all rooms. The views are amazing and will melt ways any stress that might be present.

On the first level you will find a locking closet for everyone's ski and snowboard equipment.

Sorry, no hot tub due to a public shower is mandated tub-side along with a secured accessed area per the government regulations for this type of amenity. However, Epson Salt is offered in both bathrooms to sooth sore muscles after an active outdoor active day of fun in the sun.

My family bought this property and built this amazing complex for its close proximity to the base ski area, its amenities and the spectacular skiing and hiking trails. Once I park at the condo I never have to use the car again. Everything is within walking distance. Yet, in the summer or when need a break from skiing, Taos and the surrounding area offers great opportunities for a wide variety of activities and really unique shopping opportunities.

What makes this condo unique

The St Moritz complex is newly built with high end furnishings and appliances through out. It is luxurious, inviting and is designed to make you feel at home. It is a place to bring your family and friends to get away and relax. It is quite, off the main tourist path and has amazing views. You have permitted parking right in front and can walk to everything.

There is a locker room located on the first floor where each unit has its own locked storage closet to secure all your ski and snowboard equipment. Boots should be taken to the condo to dry and keep warm for each morning's start.

Nice location winter or summer

Upscale furnishings and comfortable beds. I did not ask the square footage but I would estimate 850 sq. ft. which is a bit tight for a 2 bed 2 bath. Nice deck. Recommend an upper floor even though that requires more stairs. I thought 301 would be the top floor from the looks of the picture but there is a lower floor on the back side. Also surprised the property did not have a hot tub. Perhaps that is in the future plans since there is a large common deck.

Owner's Response: I am sorry you are disappointed, I try really hard to give detailed and accurate description of all my units advertised on VRBO. It seems you may have missed the square footage of 1,034 sq/ft shown in the VRBO head line in the first word of the sentence, “About the Property”. Perhaps it’s the large 6 place counter height dining table that makes the space somewhat limited. I have added this detail in the description. Thank you for bringing your concern to my attention. This 2 bedroom unit has the best views of the mountain and ski runs returning to the base. Both condos on the 4th floor are one bedrooms, due to the steep pitched roof. The 2 bedrooms below are bigger, with one being ADAA approved, but are privately owned. I to wish there was a hot tub. However the Government Building Code for public hot tubs mandates a shower to be provided tub-side. Epson salt is provided in all the bathrooms for a soothing muscle relaxing bath, which works well for me. Again, I appreciate your comments and hope the readers find this exchange informative.

Best family condo in Taos Ski Valley

This is the only place we stay when we ski in Taos because it's the best! Condo is FULLY stocked with everything you need from household cleaners, laundry detergent and fluffy towels. Beds are comfortable, kitchen and bathrooms are immaculate. Our family of four fit comfortably with lots of extra room to spread out and relax. This is our favorite unit at St. Moritz because the patio faces the base of the ski area and you can enjoy the afternoon sun watching the beginner runs. It's a short walk to the chair lift, restaurants and convenience store, and a short drive into town if you need anything else. Kelly is wonderful to work with and responds very quickly. We hope to visit again soon! Thanks Kelly!

Great condo in Taos Ski Valley

The condo was great, it had all the amenities we needed and was very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked, everything was very clean. Kelly was a pleasure to work with, always easy to reach and very prompt with her responses. The only reason we are giving this a 4 is because of the walk to the village. Other than that, we would definitely stay at this condo again! Thank you Kelly for a great vacation!
