Cottage in Kingswear, Nr. Dartmouth, South Devon, England - Quiet Location, 5 Minute Walk To Ferry, Good Local Pubs, Child-Friendly
About Leigh Regan
We live in Hampshire and bought this cottage in Kingswear because we come here every year for a holiday. There is so much for the children to do, they love the beaches, crabbing in Dartmouth, going on the steam train and boat trips to Dittisham. We chose the cottage in Kingswear because it has wonderful views over Dartmouth by day and night. You get a fantastic view of the fireworks over the naval college at New Year and during the Regatta.

Lovely new year getaway
Lovely cosy cottage very well equipped with stunning views
Fantastic holiday cottage
Navy Blue is charming, very comfortable and has wonderful views over to Dartmouth. The house is arranged over three floors, really well-equipped, and was a perfect base for the weekend. Really comfy beds, lots of towels and everything was lovely quality. On arrival, the house was spotless. The owner was really helpful when we contacted her - she got back to us within ten minutes and sorted what we needed within five minutes. Highly recommend staying here.
Loved it, imaginatively modernised.
Clean, wonderful view across river and railway line. 2 Bathrooms one for us one for family. Modern kitchen. No problem with parking down road or taking rubbish out daily. Worked for us as grandparents with offspring and 2 children downstairs.
Spacious with views and all facilities we could of needed covered.
Fridge has a noisy peculiar motor, otherwise almost felt like being at home.
Lovely cottage, fabulous view over the Dart and Dartmouth
Very clean and very well equipped property. Everything was there that was supposed to be there and everything worked as it should. There was quite a hill to drive/walk up, but that meant the view from the sitting room, dining area and patio was lovely. The shower was fabulous - wish ours was as good as that at home! We used the cottage as a base to go to Coleton Fishacre, Greenway, to hire a boat to go up the Dart and to use the ferry to go over to Dartmouth. We didn't think much of the local pub, the Ship Inn unfortunately so bought a load of food from the M&S in Dartmouth to cook at "home" instead for the second night of our two night stay. Would certainly recommend as a comfortable base to explore the surrounding area.
Lovely cottage with amazing views
Super cottage, well equipped and very cosy.
Approx. 4 miles to Blackpool Sands beach - a lovely family beach with good facilities.
Dartmouth is across the river by ferry - car or pedestrian.
2 miles from Brixham. 6 miles from Torquay for leisure centre, beach, shops and restaurants.
Nearest airport is Exeter - approx. 30 miles.
5 minutes walk to local shops, pubs and ferry to Dartmouth.
One of our favourite restaurants is Rockfish where the fish and chips are lovely and the staff are very child friendly. Other child friendly pubs are The Dolphin in Foss Street and Seven Stars.
