Family Beach Rental - Designed for family reunions and multi-family get-togethers. 'Upstate Beach' has eight bedrooms and eight and one-half bathrooms with two kitchens, four living areas, seven decks, private pool, shuffle board, basketball, horseshoes, and space to sleep up to 26. Ideal for families wanting space to get together under one roof.

Upstate Beach was designed for family reunions and multi family vacations based on our experiences. We wanted a comfortable beach house where everyone would be under one roof, versus renting multiple places. We wanted a bathroom with each bedroom since the group is large. We wanted four different living areas so that parents can enjoy dinner / drinks while the kids play video games, young children nap, or others sneak away for a quiet read. We wanted lots of on-site activities, so that you really don’t have to go anywhere. We wanted two kitchens so different groups can make different meals if desired. We wanted a great location for easy beach access, sunrises over the ocean and sunsets over the marsh. In essence, we wanted a house that brought everyone together, but gave everyone space so that the week is fun for all! That is what Upstate Beach is!

Upstate Beach gives the renters lots of choices on activities. The ocean is a short walk, with chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and many beach items provided. The pool is a volleyball pool for water games. Horseshoes, shuffle board and two basketball hoops are on the property as well. Four large decks and three small decks provide great views of the ocean and marsh for shaded and sun relaxation. The close side street provides a short, 50-yard walk to the beach. The Garden City Pier is approximately three blocks away.

The ocean side of the house has the kitchen and main living area upstairs with a more formal, open look. The marsh side of the house has the kitchen and main living area downstairs for a more casual look. There is also a game room in each unit. Combined, the beach house gives large groups a large area for large dinners and a number of smaller areas for small group activities.

The property rents weekly in the summer. Fall and Spring weekend packages are available. Also, longer term fall / winter rentals are available. Please inquire on specific needs.

About Jeff Conley

Jeff and Patty Conley designed the property and had it built with a 2006 completion. The design is based on Jeff's and Patty's personal experiences with family reunions on the desire to be close to family, yet have lots of things to do without having to go out and fight crowds. The Conleys take care of all aspects of the property - bookings, group preparation, welcoming, cleaning and maintenance - with a goal of providing the group a great and relaxing experience at the beach. 'We know that planning a family reunion is very time consuming, so we do everything possible to assist the group with preparation such that they can arrive and immediately enjoy the get-together. With a 90%+ return rate, we know that we provide a lot of value to everyone in the group.'

Garden City, SC is a unique beach setting. With restrictions on building height, Garden City maintains a 'neighborhood feel.' Garden City is only 4 rows from the ocean to the marsh, so beaches are not overcrowded, even in the peak of summer. Being a peninsula, Garden City does not have 'drive through' traffic, which reduces the road congestion. If you want a place to bring a family, I can't think of a better beach than Garden City, SC.

Great Family House

We have used this house for our family beach week for two years. We have a blended family with two related but separable groups. The two structurally connected but separate units uniquely fits our families. The beach is a block away and easily accessed. We have several bicycle riders and a dedicated bike lane with a path thru Huntington Beach State Park is safe and scenic.

There is a pier nearby for fishing and attractions for our teenagers. The pool is well maintained and serviced during your stay.

This home is extremely well furnished with beach equipment and other recreational activities. You don't need to haul in extra gear.

The owners organizational skills are well displayed with labels and lists on linens, kitchen ware and other items. We have found this house to be meticulously clean on arrival and well maintained.

We have vacationed up and down the outer banks, Isle of Palms and the Myrtle Beach area and feel this is the best fit for location, amenities, service and cost. They go above and beyond to have the property available for check in as early as possible

We will be returning in July 2017 for our third consecutive year.
