2 weeks of sunshine
The house was perfect for us, centrally located, great accomodation for 2 with the benifit of a fabulous well furnished roof terrace. A new stone barbecue was icing on the cake! A well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedroom and lounge. Difficult to fault.
Quaint accommodation and excellent location
My husband and I stayed here for a week at the beginning of August and it was extremely hot. So it was great to find that this lovely little cottage had air con in both the living area and the bedroom. There was everything we needed in the cottage and there was plenty of storage space. The icing on the cake was the fantastic roof terrace where we ate breakfast every morning and usually had a nightcap every evening.
The location was great for the abundance of bars and restaurants and also the ferry to the beach.
The booking process was easy and Colin responded promptly to any emails I sent asking for information about the property.
Tavira is a lovely resort and the cottage rental was perfect for our needs - we had a lovely time.
A cosy cottage in a good location
Close to the centre of the town with many restaurants and bars. The roof terrace was a delight for sunbathing, barbecues and lovely views.
All the amenities were as advertised.
We were met on arrival and departure by a lovely and informative young lady.
perfect stay for couple.
good sized cottage for 2 people, everything you need to be comfortable.lovely terrace, bit warm for us in afternoons!close to all bars and restuarants.
Not suitable for winter rental
Very unpleasant stay...very cold and I was freezing. Slept in my clothes under 2 duvets. Even in mid day, couldn’t sit in living area without duvet and heater. House open to element and cold soaked..didn’t warm up during the day. My mistake in not leaving immediately and asking for refund. Can only hope to save someone else..don’t rent this in the winter months,,it’s not livable. Even if not so umcomfortable, not good value for me given paying in pounds with terrible exchange rate to Canadian dollars. I travel extensively and have rented in many places in the world, unfortunately this is one of the most uncomfortable...tainted my first experience in Portugal.
Wonderful location right in the centre of Tavira old town so you can easily walk everywhere
We had a wonderful stay. Breakfast every morning on the lovely terrace with great views over the town and spending the day walking around looking at all the sights. We even spent a day on the wonderful Isle of Tavira walking on the beach. Every evening we'd walk out to one of many restaurants in the area. The only reason I have not given it five stars is that the train, which is a long way away, crosses the ravine which magnifies the sound and it gets pretty noisy once an hour! Also we found the dear little house very cold in the evenings at this time of year - it was warmer outside than in!
