Great location near downtown Austin, Texas

  • 5 of 5

Loved this well appointed, well located and easy to access apartment just south of the river in downtown Austin. Easy walking distance to all the action, both downtown and the SOCO districts. The Lux Haus and Catherine apartment staff were accommodating and easy to deal with. The amenities in the apartment complex are outstanding.1106 made our stay in Austin comfortable and enjoyable. We recommend this venue.

Excellent location, cool apartment and building but...

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our time here but found it a little annoying that background checks are required for anyone staying. That part is worth it for staying here.

However, if you are planning to stay here for anything that you need ironed clothes for be aware they have a mini ironing board only. It takes FOREVER to iron anything.

Also the bed is VERY soft and lumpy which was not fantastic for my back.

Lastly, for how much it costs to stay here, they should have some patio furniture on their patio. It is arguably the best feature of the house and the main reason I prefer to stay at rented houses intend of hotels.

Loved everything about this home and property. The only complaint is have is that the shower is the worst I have ever experienced... absolutely NO pressure.

Nice studio in a great location

  • 4 of 5

We booked this studio for a nice weekend without kids instead of a hotel. It was nice to have a kitchen. It's small but has all the basics.

The location is great and is in walking distance of tons of great parks, restaurants, shops, etc. The infinity pool was beautiful and well-maintained- nice to have access to it as well.

The parking garage is a little tight if you have a bigger vehicle. We drove our extended cab truck and ended up leaving it parked the whole time. Easier using a car service than getting it in and out.

Great location and beautiful building.

  • 4 of 5

This condo is located in a beautiful building in an awesome part of the city, close to everything Austin. The downtown area can be walked to and has many fun places to hang out in and to eat at. There are many places to eat at in the immediate area, the Congress area and also on the way to Barton Springs Pool. Austin is a fun tourist destination! It is Foodie Heaven! Explore the food trucks on Rainey Street, so much fun! Even a quick visit to "Dirty 6th" is worth the visit, people watching heaven, LOL!!! The State Capital tour was so interesting for the history buffs, loved it. We came in for a concert from San Diego, so we had a great visit to beautiful!

About the condo itself, it is very nicely decorated. I own 4 vacation rentals myself and I appreciate attractive decor. The balcony had awesome views of the city, parking in the building was convenient. The first thing I noticed was that the balcony had no patio furniture, which would've been great to have for morning coffee or evening wine, or just to sit and take in the views. The bed was way too soft, my husband was sinking into the mattress and my back was a little sore in the mornings, but I got over it. There was no toaster in the unit, we made our toast on one of the pans. There was only one kitchen towel in the entire unit, so when I washed pans, once the one towel was wet, I had to use paper towels. In my vacation rentals I provide various spices, cooking oils and other basic pantry items such as foil, plastic wrap, zip lock bags, but these cabinets were bare. The coffee maker was a 4 cup, some of us are big coffee drinkers. My condos are always equipped with a 12 cup coffee maker. I enjoyed my stay, but I would definitely think about providing a little more in the unit than what is there now. Thank you for the 4 night stay!
