We had a nice few days here. The prosecco and flap jack was very welcome. Rosie and David were very friendly and helpful. The flat was well equipped. We very much enjoyed sitting in the hot tub watching the sun go down with the swifts and swallows swooping overhead.
Great place to stay
Great hosts, great location
We loved everything about our stay in Steading - from the secluded bucolic location amidst the fields and the fantastic views over the hills to the modern comforts of the cottage and, of course, the hot tub where we could soothe our aching limbs after a hard day of hiking.
The hosts, Rosie and Dave, made us feel welcome right from the start with a bottle of bubbly and delicious homemade flapjacks. They were always there when we needed some advice while giving us privacy.
We left the cottage knowing that we will be coming back and can recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the taste of bonnie Scotland away from the crowds.
Thank you, Rosie and Dave, for this wonderful experience!

Bliss, brilliant place to be
Such as beautiful place to be in the summer time with stunning views, lovely relaxing walks and a friendly welcoming community. Rosie is a lovely welcoming person and is adored by our 4 year old daughter. The swimming pool and hot tube was a huge bonus. There is family activities to visit locally such as Doon Hill fairy walk and a short drive to walk the mountains. Perfect for all ages. We have already booked for next year.
Thank you so much for such a warm and heartfelt review! It means so much when people clearly love this place as much as we do, and we are delighted that you've already booked again for next year. Although most children really seem to enjoy the pool, gorgeous wee Sienna definitely has the prize for most swims every day, and we were so impressed that she was so enthusiastic about climbing the beautiful local hills with you too! We're so glad that you found this such a great place for your family holiday, and look forward to seeing you all again next summer.
Many thanks again,
Rosie and Dave
Spacious, clean, great location, great views and great hosts.
Had a lovely week at Steading Farm the cottage was spacious and very comfortable and as advertised away from it all which was what I wanted. The views are stunning and the pool and jacuzzi (the best I’ve been in) were great to have to use. Good place for a base camp for day trips out and about and couldn’t have wished for better hosts. Rosie and Dave were so nice, friendly and very helpful with local knowledge and nothing was too much for them. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in this area and will hopefully pay another visit at some point.
Thanks so much for such a warm and lovely review! It was a delight to meet you and your parents, and your dogs were also so friendly and well behaved. We really appreciated how clean and tidy you left the cottage.
We very much hope you will come to stay again, as it was lovely chatting to you, and there's nothing nicer than welcoming guests who have clearly appreciated this beautiful area so much.
