About Katie Wheat
I have owned this orchard property Since 1995. In 2004 I opened a small fruit stand to sell the fruit and produce grown here. That has now expanded to a country market with Alaska seafood and local handcrafts, including my own woodworking projects. I have added a guest house and two dry cabins as a private and peaceful alternative to hotels for travelers. I hope you enjoy your stay here as much as I enjoy providing it!

A sweet place to stay
This was just right for my daughter and me to stay while I attended my 50th high school reunion. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We made good use of the refrigerator and microwave. The bed was very comfortable, and there were little touches in the cabin - like the lights - that made it special. I personally loved the location as it was somewhere near where my family once lived. Katie was friendly and helpful, and we wish we could have stayed longer.
Peaceful and Relaxing
We woke every morning opened our door to our little cabin to see the beautiful Okanagan valley hills. Stayed up late to see the sky light up from the vast stars. Our breakfast most mornings were fresh berries (picked from her yard) with yogurt, toast with local honey (from Paws produce) and freshly ground blue star coffee (provided by Katie). It was a wonderful place to be and Katie was very welcoming and friendly. We explored a new area and made a new friend. Thank you Katie.
Don't miss your chance to stay at this amazing place!
We stayed in the cute and comfy cabin for a weekend. It was cute and very comfy indeed! The surroundings are absolutely beautiful, and the location pretty convenient. Definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for beautiful, peaceful surroundings that's not too far from town. The owner Katie is such a lovely person, and she has an awesome store. We picked this place as it is pretty close to a lot of (well preserved) ghost towns. Lots of history, easy access and all roads were in good condition. Would definitely stay again!
Thank you for the great review. You two were a joy to host and I look forward your next visit to this area.
