Arniston Estate Cottages
About Henrietta Dundas
Arniston Estate has been in my family since 1571. We still live on the estate today. Among other activities we now run four holiday cottages on the estate. We have two children, one dog and two cats.
Henrietta Dundas purchased this Cottage in 1751
Why Henrietta Dundas chose Gorebridge
The Arniston Estate Cottages are secluded and steeped in history. Guests are invited to enjoy the beautiful grounds of Arniston House yet we are only 10 miles from the bustle of central Edinburgh and its mixture of culture, shops and nightlife.
What makes this Cottage unique
The local train station at Gorebridge is just 1.5 miles away. Our visitors enjoy day trips to Edinburgh with free parking at the station. Trains to the center of town with all its attractions take 25 minutes. Return to the tranquil grounds of Arniston after a busy day or site seeing. Midlothian has many family attractions to also enjoy such as The Scottish Mining Museum and Rosslyn Chapel as well as a tour of Arniston House itself.
