Botana villa 8 offers a good combination of beach-mountain. It is located in the complex botana villas, just 5 minutes from cala molins beach and in the foothills of a mountain. The villa has been fully remodelled and has everything needed for a holiday as enjoyable. The living area (lounge, kitchen, dining room and toilet) is on the ground floor and the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the second floor. There is a shaded outside private terrace on the ground floor. The setting for the villa complex is marvellous: the villas are in a wooded area surrounded by well kept gardens. The swimming pool is shared by all the villas in the middle of the complex within a lovely social setting. It has a sunbathing area with sun beds and separate children’s area.

About Marisa Barcelo Darder
Hi!, my name is Marisa and I am the owner of botana villa 8. My family and I have run the business of botana villas for decades. We love the area as we have spent our summer holidays in Cala San Vicente since our childhood and now we want our guests to have the same opportunity. We live in Palma so we take care of the maintenance personally. I'm always contactable, either via email or phone (also SMS or whatsapp) - if need any more information, regarding the villa.
Why Marisa Barcelo Darder chose Cala Sant Vicenç
I love Pollensa in the Northern Part of Mallorca because it has the most beautiful scenery and probably the best beaches. It's the perfect holiday destination for families. Our villa is 10 minutes by car from Puerto Pollenca in Cala San Vicente, which is an old fishing village - it has a charm of its own - and not too busy. It has a few shops with bars and restaurants, all within walking distance.
What makes this Villa unique
The villa is on a lovely well maintained complex, with only 12 villas. This enables you to go to the pool - where it can be quite sociable - meeting other people and often children like playing together - then you can go back to the privacy of your own villa. Also, it's only a short walk to the village, so you can buy your morning paper, or fresh bread to make lunch before you go out for the day! I especially love the rear terrace in the evening - so relaxing with just a few candles lit - and the kids in bed!

Enjoyable with a lovely spacious villa
Even though the villa was lovely we had a few problem. Firstly as you were aware I had a festation of ants on the first night in bed- in the morning cleaners were sent to strip the beds which thankfully no more ants for the rest of our stay. Secondly when the storm came my bedroom with the en-suite leaked badly so I had to mop the floor the next morning. We also had another storm a few days later and even though that was not as bad it came in (I think through the decking door but could not be sure). I am afraid we could only use the swimming pool a couple of times as it turned brown and muddy and could not be used the remainder of our stay. Other than the above we had a lovely stay in Cala st Vicente. I am sure the funniest thing was the taxi driver left us at the villas below so obviously we could not get in and I hassled Marisa saying the code did not work which I apologise for but two ladies in their mid sixties dragging four cases up that uneven road up to the villa must of been quite amusing- we can laugh about it but not at the time.
Thanks for your review. I must admit you were not very lucky with the weather, Cala San Vicente can be soooooo wild at times and unfortunately you had to experience it. I hope we assisted you and your friend as promptly as you deserved, we always try to do our best.
As for the swimming pool, I want you to know that from the moment it happened we worked on sorting it out but were so unlucky it rained again and it got dirty again so we had to start from scratch and not until Saturday it was ready to be used. We worked on it for 6 days nonstop.
Lovely to have you as guests.
A lovely well appointed villa in a quite location amongst pine trees, has a shady patio with deckchairs to relax in when things get too hot and the shared pool is only a few steps and stairs away. Cala Molins beach is only 6 minutes away either down dusty lane or part dusty lane and steps, it is a lovely beach and I would suggest you go to the front of the beach just before the slight incline to the sea as there you get a lovely breeze. The other beach of Cala Barques is accessed by going round the coast road or up rather a lot of steps, then you have to go down to the beach, we never used that beach, we only went that way for shopping and to get the bus. The bus to Pollenca and to Port de Pollenca are both worth visiting with bus fare only Euro 1.50. We all had a very enjoyable holiday. Thank you Marissa.
Thank you so much for your fantastic feedback. We’d love to have you back some time again.
A lovely villa in a really nice town
We stayed for 9 days in June and had a great time. The villa itself was great - clean and bright and well equipped, with a decent kitchen, bedrooms and living area. There's a good swimming pool that's shared between villas in the complex and it's a short walk down to beach at Cala Molins. The beach itself is great, it's a small cove with a sandy beach and a gentle slope once you're in the water. There are lifeguards and a guy also rents out kayaks from the same beach, which is a lot of fun.
The town itself is pleasant - a few restaurants and bars and a couple of general shops. It's also surrounded by hills and there are some nice easy hikes across the hills if that's your thing (we did them in trainers so no special equipment needed!). For shopping etc there are supermarkets in both Pollença and Port de Pollença. Don't confuse these two as they're entirely distinct places a few kilometres apart. Port de Pollença is a pleasant seaside town with a nice beach whereas Pollença is a beautiful old town with narrow streets, bars and restaurants and lots of small independent shops, well worth a visit. Alcúdia is another beautiful old town that's close by. As with Pollença, there's a separate "port" version of the town, Port d'Alcúdia.
So in summary, a great villa in a lovely part of the world - we'd definitely come back!
Excellent villa located in a beautiful Majorcan village
We stayed for 9 nights in the villa and really enjoyed our stay. The villa was spacious, nicely decorated, surrounded by woodland. There is a pool that supports the dozen or so villas on the site. Our party comprised 4 adults and 1 - 20 month toddler. The villa had all the amenities to support a child of this age.
Cala San Vincent's is picturesque quiet village, with a handful of restaurants. Ideal for a quiet holiday. The walk over the hills to Puerto Pollensa is well worth the effort.
This was a beautiful, well equipped and comfortable villa in a lovely little resort. Highly recommended.
Thank you very much, Richard! We would love to have you and your family back in the future.
Great location walking distance from beach
Spotlessly clean villa in a great location... walking distance from beach, yet tucked away in a peaceful location... the shared pool was great.... Cala de Sant Vince is a lovely village..with a handful of shops, bars and restaurants... we kayaked from the beach, and there were nice walks... we had a car but the buses seemed quite frequent. A very enjoyable week but if you want a lively nightlife, this is not for you.
The proximy of the beach and resort makes Can Botana a great spot for families. The villa is in a beautiful area in the North of the island, near the town of Pollensa and the beach resort of Puerto de Pollensa. Its beaches are one of the main attractions in Cala San Vicente: Cala Barques, Cala Clara, Cala Molins and Cala Carbó.
There are lots of flights available from local airports to Palma. It takes around 40 minutes by car from Palma to Cala San Vicente, as the new motorway has made it a much shorter and easier journey.
The villa is situated in walking distance of Cala San Vicente, with local restaurants and shops. Pollensa old town is 5km away, with a rich history and the famous steps to the "Calvario". Puerto Pollensa is also only 5km away which is a busier resort, but has a very large sandy bay.
There is a local supermarket, a chemist’s and several souvenir shops. The best supermarkets are Eroski and Lidl on the road to Pollensa.
There are lovely nice restaurants: Modesto, Cala Barques, Cal Patró and Windsurf.
