Why Mrs Edith Downey chose Persquen
Having visited close friends who moved to the area, the idea of a getaway in these beautiful surroundings captured my imagination. The towns and villages retain something of the charms of yesteryear and reminded me of my childhood. I bought this cottage because of its peaceful setting, birdsong, and the sunny south facing aspect of the enclosed garden. The night skies reveal a multitude of stars, there being no light pollution. The downstairs double bed room has ensuite facilities ideal for anyone with limited mobility.

Peaceful, idyllic and charming
We spent a wonderful week at this charming cottage. There were just 3 of us (2 adults, 1 toddler) and there was plenty of room, it's very spacious and has a lovely feel about the place. Really safe enclosed garden for little one to play in and the cottage had everything we needed - even wifi and English TV to relax in front of in the evening with a glass of wine, after our busy days exploring the region. Such a quiet, peaceful location, we relaxed instantly and enjoyed our stay immensely - miss it already!
I am so happy that you have had a relaxing time at the cottage and thank you for taking the trouble to write a review.
A Lovely Cottage in a Great Location
Set in a lovely location we spent nearly 3 weeks at this idyllic cottage with its pretty garden. Couldn't wish for anything better. The cottage had all the facilities required, was clean well maintained and help nearby if needed. Spent time at Auray, Pont Aven and the fishing village of Doelan which was vey unspoilt. The beaches at Lorient were excellent for children. All in all a brilliant holiday. Cannot recommend the accommodation highly enough.
We had a most enjoyable stay in this very quiet gite, tucked away in the Brittany countryside. The garden was very sunny and much enjoyed by the children. The gite itself was very clean and had all that was needed for a comfortable weeks stay. The downstairs bedroom plus ensuite was most useful. The administration process of renting and occupying the gite went very smoothly, from start to finish.
