Why Jane Nizamoglu, Lale Homes chose Kalkan
I first visited Kalkan in a small sailing boat with my father 30 years ago and fell in love with the place, its people and its food. Most of the few tourists at that time arrived by sea as road access to Kalkan was much more difficult than it is now. Back then, ice was transported to our boat in the harbour by wheelbarrow. Kalkan has grown and become more accessible and sophisticated in the intervening years but it has never lost its charm. Sitting on the balcony at Olympos 6 I can just imagine myself back on the deck of that little sailing boat out in the bay ....
What makes this Apartment unique

Great facilities, unbeatable view
We were so lucky to book this lovely apartment. Its beautifully kept, has a magnificient view over Kalkan and the bay, and is well maintained by the agent. I can only envy the owner, it was a smart buy. It was our first time in Kalkan, all the people we encountered english and turkish were friendly, helpful and warm. The village is very pretty and well kept, food in the restaurants was consistently good. We felt relaxed and happy at the end of our holiday, it doesn't get better than that.
Amazing views from apartment. Two constructive points. To call the walk into town a 5 minute stroll is a bit misleading, it’s ten minutes to the edge of of town and you walk along a fairly rough road. The town is very hilly and to walk to the apartment from the harbour is a strenuous uphill walk. Anyone with even minor disability problems would struggle. We always got a taxi back. Not a major problem but would hate anybody to book the apartment and then find they have to get taxis both ways. Apartment was fantastic, two small points. The curtains / blinds in the bedrooms should be thicker. The street lamps behind the apartment mean the bedrooms are not that dark at night. Also the boiler in the second bedroom seems to be on constantly and is noisy st night.
Small constructive points - overall a fantastic place to stay.
Thank you for your review Mike and your constructive comments. The information on the website does accurately state the walking time to the supermarket as 10 minutes but the apartment information folder says 5 so I have edited that. The website information for people looking to book the apartment does state that it is not suitable for people with disabilities. The boiler can be switched off at night (it only takes an hour to heat the water) so I will add this to the guest information folder in the apartment. In the light of your comments about window coverage and light infiltration from the street lights we will review these shortly. Thank you again - glad you enjoyed your stay in Kalkan!
Our second time at the apartment which offers amazing views over Kalkan. The apartment is about a 10 min walk into town where you will find a vast choice of bars and restaurants all offering superb food and drink. We love kalkan. The apartment is well equipped and offers a comfortable stay, the shared pool facility is rarely busy so most days we had it all to ourselves.
It was lovely to have you visit our apartment again Tamara - so glad you enjoyed your holiday!
Wonderful holiday, amazing apartment!
We have loved every minute of our holiday in Kalkan. The apartment is fantastic the view from the balcony is definitely the best in Kalkan and every bit as good as it looks in the pictures. The apartment is fantasticly clean and modern with everything you need for a perfect stay. The pool is lovely and never busy, most of the time we had it to ourselves. It is a little walk into town but it’s so easy and cheap to get taxis if you don’t fancy a walk in the heat. A bonus is that palm beach club is a two minute walk below the apartment and has a lovely spot for snorkelling and we always enjoyed the food there. The management and communication with the owners is fantastic they always responded immediately to any requests. They also have fantastic recommendations and Jane who manages the apartment pre-booked for us a private boat trip on the Maya boat which we ended up doing twice it was such a wonderful experience. We also on Jane’s recommendation booked a tour through Yasin at Volume travel to Saklikent Gorge where my boys went rafting and zip lining then on to Patara beach it was another great day. The apartment is really five star and suited us perfectly as a family of four with two boys aged 9 and 11. The apartment also has great air-conditioning essential in the heat and two bathrooms also a massive bonus. Can not fault are stay at all and if we come back to Kalkan which I hope we do we will come back and stay here if we can.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. Jane and I are so glad the whole family enjoyed your stay - there’s plenty more to explore and experience should you wish to return!
Beautiful views of the bay from balcony.
Fantastic apartment ideally located just outside of town, this was the perfect base to enjoy 10 days in the Kalkan sun.
The apartment itself was clean, spacious (enough for two or more) and comfortable with beautiful views of the bay. It was well stocked with everything you might need to cook your own meals if you didn't fancy heading into town and the welcome pack was certainly very welcome after travelling in from Dalaman.
The shared pool area was very nice and again clean, although can get very hot at peak times of the day.
Overall a lovely little spot for a couple or small family to holiday in a beautiful part of the Lycian coast. Would book again :-)
Thank you so much for your review. We are especially pleased you enjoyed your holiday as it was to mark a special occasion. We look forward to welcoming you back to our own little corner of paradise in the future! Sarah and Jane
The best view in Kalkan
Stayed here for two weeks in June. The first week there were four of us and two of us for the second week. The apartment comfortably worked for four or two. The apartment has the most amazing view of Kalkan bay, completely uninterrupted and something you will never tire of looking at. The great thing about it is the balcony is in the shade in the morning allowing you to sit and enjoy breakfast and the view before the sun makes it too hot. The standard of everything in the apartment is first class. It has all the equipment you need to make a big dinner if you want to, but with about 200 restaurants on your doorstep why would you! The owner is the most helpful person and really quick to reply to any questions you may have. The property is managed on a day to day basis by Jane and again she is really helpful in sorting out anything you need, such as water for the cooler etc. We could not recommend this apartment enough and it is certainly a place we would look to go back to when we return to Kalkan
