Villa Rosa - in Los Gallos, Chiclana de la Frontera, Costa de la Luz, Spain - A Home From Home, Full Air Con, 5 Min Drive To Novo Sancti Petri Golf & La Barrosa Beach
Rich and Kay live in the UK with our two young boys. Rich works for the Education Authority organising transport and Kay is back at University studying to be a teacher. We are both keen to offer our lovely home from home to guests for them to experience what we have had the honour of enjoying for many years at Villa Rosa.
Rich purchased this Villa in 2001
Why Rich chose Los Gallos-Cerromolino
Villa Rosa has been my parents family home since 2001, they retired to this area in the 1990's and this was their second property after living near Roche. They needed a Villa that was closer to all amenities and restaurants. We have been holidaying here since 2001 and with our children within months of our first son's birth. We now have the honour of inviting other holiday makers the opportunity to sample this lovely area and use the Villa as a home from home.
What makes this Villa unique
The Villa is in a very peaceful, quiet and natural area, out of tourist crowded places but close enough to be within walking distance of everything you might need. Villa Rosa and the area is very well suited for family life as all the amenities are within a short walk. There’s plenty of Golf available, marina sports, horse riding, beaches, shops, etc; everything for the family you could wish for. It’s a completely different place in Chiclana coast. Lovely walks around the pinewood, by the seaside, and incredibly close to famous cities, towns and villages in the region such as Cadiz and Seville.

This villa is perfect for a family holiday
Even in November this villa didn’t disappoint! Loads of space for 4 kids to play hide and seek on a cloudy day, and plenty of movies to keep them entertained after dark too, with the log burner making the extremely spacious lounge area very toasty (and warming up the bedrooms so much it was like summer!).
Otherwise as sunny as a typical British July so the nearby beaches (5 minutes by car) got lots of use, as did the pool. The local bars and cafes were welcoming but we hardly needed to go out as the well laid out kitchen is a home-from-home and local produce so delicious it’s easy to cook for everyone.
We have already booked to return in the summer - it’s that perfect here 😁
Large. Villa , ideal for extended family holiday, perfect with little one's as it's completely enclosed ,which our 2 year old grand son loved.. Also a good size pool which we a enjoyed. A perfect holiday . The Villa Rosa is very comfortable and we quickly felt at home there!!.
Thanks ever so much for the positive review Susan, I’ll pass on your comments to the management team..... R x
A welcoming villa that offers the perfect venue for a delightful family holiday - we’ll be back!!!
The pool and grounds are quiet, private, well kept and not overlooked, with sun loungers and seating to enjoy the Andalusian weather.
The villa is spacious, well laid out and amply provides for all the needs of a group of up to 12 to enjoy all of he facilities on offer for families, with ample parking provided. The attention to detail and thought put into providing a comfortable home from home is exceptional.
Shops, restaurants and bars are all within walking distance, with 7 km of wonderful sandy beaches only a 3 minute drive away, where even more family friendly venues are to be found.
Chiclana itself makes you feel welcome and is an easy drive from the impressive sights to be found within Cádiz and Seville, or even a day out to Gibraltar.
We had a wonderful holiday and are already making plans to come back next year.
Thanks for your great review, & we are looking forward to having you all back....
Great home from home
Clean comfortable and very well presented. Would highly recommend this property. Situated close to all local amenities.
It felt like home
Spacious and comfortable, with all you might need.
We stayed in October and the weather was still pleasant. The accomodation was amazing, it had everything we might need from bedding and towels to an alarm and inflatables for the pool. The kitchen was well equipped and the outside BBQ area was perfect. We felt very safe in the area and were impressed with the security gate.
The villa is close to local amenities and stunning beaches, perfect!
Definitely a home away from home.
Thanks for the great review KB, so glad you and your family had a great time at the villa.... take care and hope to see you again soon....

Plenty of Golf can be found within minutes of Villa Rosa. A PADI Dive Centre is at the marina, less than 3 minutes drive from Villa Rosa for any experienced or trainee diver, which also includes a host of other water sport activities in the purpose designed harbour.
Apart from the beach and the golf courses there are also two driving ranges, an equestrian centre offering beach rides at sunset, a floodlit tennis centre and much more.
Jerez Moto GP circuit is within 30 minutes drive from the villa and is an ideal base for those that want to visit in May for the GP and September for the World Superbike.
The beautiful 7km long Blue Flag La Barossa Beach and Novo Sancti Petri Beach are very clean and allow for a wide open expanse with restaurants & bars for those summer evenings watching the sunset. During the summer the beach offers showers and lifeguards are on watch. A 5 min drive allows you to get to both beaches.
The nearest airport is Jerez (30 mins) which is served by Ryanair from Stanstead. Seville Airport is a little over an hours drive and is served from Gatwick & Stanstead. Gibraltar is also just over 1 hours drive away. Malaga Airport, being the main international airport in the area is served by almost all UK airports and is an easy motorway drive of just over 2 hours.
By car Chiclana town centre is 2.5km, Conil 18km and the oldest city in Europe Cadiz 24km (30 mins). Seville is 1 hour to drive also Gilbralter is just over 1 hours drive away. The Chiclana area is renowned for its beauty with protected nature parks, stunning beaches and wonderful sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean. The blue flag beaches of La Barrosa are the envy of the region and extend for 7 kms. White sand, backed by sand dunes and pine trees they extend to rocky points and wrap around to the estuary and marina of Sancti Petri. Here you can eat and drink or enjoy the activities arranged by the water sports centre or go for a boat ride around Sancti Petri Island. Other sporting activities in the area include, horse riding, tennis, scuba diving, go-karting, fishing, golf, surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing and kayaking.
Easy drive to Jerez (sherry houses), Cádiz (possibly Europe's oldest city), the wonder of Seville (internationally famous city), Tarifa (and the boat to Tanger), and the intriguing pueblos blancos (white villages), including Vejer-de-la-Frontera. This is the Spain of fighting bulls and flamenco, ferias and finos, and fine simple food. Visit the Roman ruins at Baelo Claudio, the lighthouse at Cape Trafalgar, the old tuna fishing port of Sancti Petri. 30% of the province of Cádiz is National Park, one of the world's most important cork forests, and a micro climate within the Alcornocales park that is regarded as the last Mediterranean jungle.
The Villa is an easy walk to the little commercial centre of Los Gallos which is a 5 minute walk away, and has a tapas bars, small restaurants, an excellent pizzeria which does takeaways, 2 bakeries/ice cream parlors, a pharmacy, bicycle hire, car hire, and shops. There are three large supermarkets within a 2 minute drive - Superol, Mercadona and Lidl. The Villa is a short drive to a number of good restaurants right on the beach (including the famous Los Pescadores), as well as bars, a chemist, minimarket, newsagent, hot bread, etc.
