Linda, when not working in the shop spends time looking after grandchildren and an elderly mother. Brian works some evenings as a part-time house tutor at a local boarding school.
Why Brian and Linda Garner chose Kalkan
Although we were familiar with most Mediterranean countries; we had never been to Turkey, however, in 2004 some friends invited us to stay at their villa in Kalkan. Having been fairly sceptical about Turkey beforehand, we were overwhelmed by the peaceful beauty of the Kalkan area and kisla in particular. Turkey is such a spacious country that it is such a pleasure to get away from overcrowded locations. The Lycian coast with its Turquoise waters is generally unspoilt with beautiful beaches and without high rise developments. We had fallen in love with Kalkan and came back the following year and bought Cicekli Tas Ev in 2005 just as it was being completed.
What makes this Villa unique
Cicekli Tas Ev is a characterful stone clad villa in a most peaceful and relaxing corner of Kalkan Bay (Kisla). We have easy access to the town of Kalkan and are 100 metres from the most beautiful bathing spot with free access to a small beach club offering many facilities should visitors not wish to travel further afield. Our villa is on a corner plot standing in its own garden admired by many for its wonderful flowers. e.g bougainvillea. There are olive groves on two sides of the property. There are sea views in one direction and views of the Toros mountains in the opposite direction from the villa.
