Apartment in Dartmouth, South Devon,- 3 Minute Walk To The River Dart, Easy Access To All The Shops, Pubs And Amenities Of Dartmouth
Our first visit to Dartmouth was in 2011, on a rainy weekend in December. Even through the cold and wet we were dazzled by the beauty of Dartmouth. Having talked for many years about buying our own holiday home we finally took the plunge! We have been married for 26 years and have two grown up daughters. Our main residence is just outside of Worcester.
Julie purchased this Townhome in 2012
Why Julie chose Dartmouth
'Upper Three' was purchased in 2012 as a complete wreck. Work started in 2013 and completed in 2014. The property has been transformed from a pokey 2 bed with sloping floors and a collapsed staircase to a light, spacious, thoroughly modern 3 bed. We love Dartmouth because everything is close at hand, we park the car and rarely use it again during our stay. Fantastic break from the Rat Race and daily commute!
What makes this Townhome unique
My husband and I enjoy strolling around the town, taking in the atmosphere and stopping for a coffee or beer in any of the many watering holes. As foodies we have visited many of the restaurants within Dartmouth, and have not been disappointed by the quality and variety available. We also appreciate cooking and nights in, and it was this love that led us to renovated our property to the level we have.

Great central location.
Great central location, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks
Excellent location. Spacious, well-equipped, clean, comfortable accommodation.
Very good. Julie was quick to react to a problem we had with the TV.
An enjoyable stay.
Thank you John
The property was clean, updated and beautifully decorated. We thought the stairs would be daunting but even my 80 year old father had no trouble. The location couldn’t be better. I didn’t have to drive anywhere. Loved it!
Upper Three Dartmouth
We enjoyed our stay at Upper three. It is a very pleasant well equipt and clean holiday let. However, the stairs are very steep and two of us found them a little challenging.
The walk to the car park was not a problem nor was the unloading and loading of the car.
We chose Upper Three for the location and also it has twin beds and a walk-in shower.
We found the photos of the renovation of the property were very interesting. Julie, you must be very proud of what you have achieved.
Central location made the holiday
We have visited Dartmouth many times with family and friends renting a larger property in local villages with river access. On this occasion There was just two of us with friends staying a couple of nights. Having two bathrooms was essential, these are lovely and modern. The beds were comfy and we all slept well. You are near the sea and the seagulls were noisy at times as was the pub next door. Having a pub next door was convenient and the staff were very welcoming. Of course there are many pubs handy and places to eat. You can’t go wrong with this holiday home for comfort, facilities and location. No walking up the steep hill unless you choose, there are no views to speak of from the property but just a couple of minutes you are right on the front. We would definitely recommend.
Spotlessly clean, spacious property in a great location.
Julie, the owner has certainly made the most of every inch of space in this well designed property. Attic bedroom not recommended for anyone over 5’8 though due to low ceilings (lots of bumped heads throughout our stay😂) , en suite bathroom a bit cramped but really good shower in main bathroom which made up for it. We visited during Regatta week which was great fun and atmospheric. Lots to do for all ages, lovely restaurants and a good base to visit other attractions of South Devon. We had a lovely family holiday.
3 minutes walk to River Dart and ferries/cruisers. 45 minutes walk along the Dart to Dartmouth Castle and a small pebbly beach.
Blackpool Sands is approximately 15 minutes away by car and Slapton Sands 20 minutes by car.
The nearest airport is Exeter.
Use of a car is not essential as Dartmouth Town has all amenities and very good transport links.
The property is set in the heart of Dartmouth.
Dartmouth has many pubs, cafés and restaurants suitable for all tastes and pockets. The are various banks and cash points all within walking distance. The local supermarkets are Marks & Spencer, Co-op and Spar, again within walking distance. Sainsbury's and Lidl are a few minutes drive away. The local market is a few steps away from the front door! There are a number of exclusive designer shops within the town, various art galleries and gift shops. There is a Leisure Centre with an outdoor pool and various other amenities a few minutes drive away.
