Barn in Marsac, Nr. Montbron, Charente, Poitou-Charentes, France - Peaceful, Rural Location In A Beautiful Hamlet Over Looking The Chambon Du Gorges
About Marcus Lightowler
As a family we have always taken holidays in France. Our love affair with the beautiful simplistic way of life has grown on each trip. starting with tenting, caravan holidays and finally gites and Chambre d'Hotes. We have had a great passion for French property and this cascaded into reality after a visit to the UK French property show at Earls Court. One cold and frosty morning in the deepest of winter we visited a cow shed in a hamlet and fell in love with the view. Our children fell for the barn due to its location and proximity to outdoor activities. Our vision determined the outcome of our shabby chic dream barn renovation. We hope you like our little piece of paradise. Enjoy Elsa of Kora. Marcus, Jo, Hobey and Freya Lightowler.

Why Marcus Lightowler chose Eymouthiers
We purchased the barn due to its rural location with magnificent views. It is close to all amenities yet extremely peaceful in its setting. If you require a more active night-life then you have various options close by.

Elsa of Kora, a shabby chic dream!
We had a fantastic fortnight in Elsa of Kora. The stone barn was beautiful and tastefully decorated throughout. The owners have furnished it to an extremely high standard and have catered for everything and possibly everyone! It also has a lovely homely feel. The views were amazing and the pool was an added advantage especially during the exceptionally hot weather. The area was lovely being rural yet not far from a typical French town complete with 12th century chateau. There were plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby and the supermarkets were well stocked with local produce. Elsa of Kora is well located being not far from some beautiful French villages and towns, there are lakes to swim in, rivers to canoe along or simply walk, sit and take in the beautiful scenery.
We highly recommend this property. The owners were very responsive and only too pleased to ensure we made the most of our holiday.
Firstly thank you very much for such a lovely review. We are so glad you had an excellant time at Elsa of Kora our home from home.
We hope you will come back and stay with us again.
