About Louise Cope
I have moved from South Africa to the lovely county of Dorset with it's beautiful coastline and wonderful walks. I enjoy kayaking, cycling, playing tennis and walking with my dog,I prefer a friendly village life to suburban lifestyle. However, with Wool station nearby and a 2hr30min train journey to Waterloo I can still keep in touch with city life when needed.
Louise Cope purchased this Cottage in 2013

Spring Break at Patch Cottage
Fantastic break at Patch Cottage. Everything you need is there and Cottage is spotlessly clean. Louise adds the personal touch by leaving such things as fresh bread, eggs and flowers. We will definitely be back.
Wow Wonderful cottage😀 perfect location! Cottage had everything you could need. Will be back again for another relaxing few days 👍🏻
A gorgeous, comfortable, characterful cottage in a great location.
We had a fabulous week at Patch Cottage. The house was very tastefully furnished, with everything we could possibly need. There were lots of lovely touches throughout and we were very cosy and comfortable. The garden was fabulous and felt like a hidden paradise. It was a perfect holiday home for me and my two children.
This is a lovely cottage in a quiet village, close to all the main attractions that Dorset has to offer. It's well-maintained with the upstairs being particularly pretty. Louise, the owner, lives next door and is very accommodating, while at the same time totally unintrusive. Plus points were the large garden and summer house, the general feel of a old world Dorset cottage, and the excellent location. Minor minus points - the kitchen is quite small and difficult to negotiate when you have the table up; the road is very close to the house and carries a lot of heavy lorries and agricultural vehicles, making it quite noisy.
Overall though, this is an excellent property and we loved our stay here.
Dear Susan ,thank you for your informative review. I am sorry the traffic noise was a nuisance, however, the combination of the heritage site being just down the road, school holidays, unusually hot weather and being a local farming community and an early harvest season this all contributed to an unnaturally high volume of traffic.
Gorgeous cottage in a lovely part of Dorset
Patch cottage is a lovely homely cottage. Spotlessly clean. It is ideal for a family of 4. There are low beams and a steep staircase so I guess older people may find this an issue. This however adds to the charm and character. There is also a fantastic garden which seems to go back for ages. The village is quiet but full of character. The old shop is about 5mins walk away and has most things. There is also a pub about 1.5miles away (Sailors Return) which is superb for food. Definitely recommended to book though. Lulworth Cove is about a 3miles drive away and is well worth a few visits. The walk over the cliff to Durdle Door from the cove takes about 30-40mins and is quite hard but is beautiful and is definitely a must. (if you can, do this rather than parking at the top car park) We also visited Studlands Beach (South) and this is lovely small sandy beach which doesn't get too busy and has very shallow waters. Poole Quay (12miles) is also well worth a visit. We couldn't speak high enough of the property and Louise (who owns it) We would definitely recommend it and will comeback.
What a lovely review and really informative description of the surrounding areas for future guests, thank you so much it's really appreciated. You are welcome back any time Lou
