About liz croft
Hi, I'm Liz Croft, this is me outside the front door of the Cottage at New Year 2016......We'd love you to come & stay at our fabulous 'home from home' Holiday Cottage in beautiful North Pembrokeshire, West Wales.. We run Plas Drygarn Cottage as a small family concern along side our other full time jobs.. We care about our visitors & their enjoyment & aim to tailor each week to it's occupants needs. We found this was something we couldn't do if used an Agency as they don't let you have contact with clients before their stay. The best part of the last 9 years has been to see families & couples return to us each year once they have discovered us.
liz croft purchased this Cottage in 2000
Why liz croft chose Crymych
We bought this derelict small holding in 2000 & have done up the main Farmhouse for ourselves at a higher level than the Cottage. So far we have completed one barn conversion which is Plas Drygarn Cottage..We have been renting it out since Oct 2009 with 4* grading. We have made a good start on renovating a 2nd lower level property but will be another few years before completion. We chose this spot knowing that although rural & peaceful we were still just 5 minutes drive away from the small town of Crymych with both Primary & Secondary Schools for our children as well as a Leisure Centre, Swimming Pool, Rugby Club & great variety of small shops.
What makes this Cottage unique
Crymych is a central location for daily visits & enjoying the 3 Counties of Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion & Carmarthenshire. We are not on the roadside, we have a decent farm track to the small holding meaning it is safe for your children & pets as well as being very peaceful!

An unspoilt gem
3 generations of our family stayed at this quite dreamy cottage in the Easter holidays. A lovingly restored and extended home, the Crofts have thoughtfully provided everything one would need and offer a very special welcome. Liz takes great care to ensure the cottage is spotless and nothing is too much trouble.
This part of Pembrokeshire is stunning, unspoilt and full of unexpected historical gems. We would love to come back and stay in this holiday cottage and enjoy the country.
Thanks so much for your review & being the perfect guests! I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the children, feeding & chatting about all our animals on the smallholding. I'm glad that your parents were able to make use of our 'downstairs living' & had a wonderful celebration whilst here.
Clean, quiet, beautiful views, a good rest away from busy life.
We are a family of four, at least three of whom are autistic. We all like our downtime, and need time away from the crowds to just be ourselves. Plas Drygarn was a good base for this. We loved the little sun room, wonderfully light and with lovely views, great for an early morning read or evening chill time. Liz was an excellent host, friendly, there if we needed her. We enjoyed the peacocks and wandering guinea fowl, and said hello to the farm dogs when they occasionally came to visit.
Found lovely coastal places to enjoy, especially Mynt, and little Pwllgwaelod, which is off Dinas Head and has a handy pub for chips and ice cream. Farther afield, we enjoyed a trip to Bosherton Lily Pools which is west of Tenby, and doing ‘Paint a pot’ in Narberth.
For those who like hunting second- hand bargains, there are plenty of places in Cardigan to enjoy. We eat a certain amount of gluten- free food, and were amazed by the number of independent health food shops in the area, including one in Crymych itself. Not a sniff of Holland and Barrett.
Favourite cafe in Cardigan was ‘Crwst’, which does lovely food, but our sound-sensitive daughter did need to put her earphones in, as its very noisy - hard floor, high ceiling, many people, chairs scraping.
All in all we had a very happy escape from normal. Even the driving needed to different places was not boring - lots of tree tunnels and lovely views. Can recommend cottage and area.
Thanks so much for this detailed review which I hope will help others with similar needs! It was lovely meeting you all & hearing all about what you got up to whilst here in Pembrokeshire for 2 weeks. I's welcome you all back anytime in the future.
Beautiful cottage in beautiful grounds
Had an amazing time. The cottage is very well equipped and child and dog friendly. Highly recommended
Thanks for the great review. Thoroughly enjoyed having 3 generations of your family staying here & especially chicken feeding & egg collecting with Lily! The dogs were a credit to you, very well behaved...
Lovely family and pet friendly cottage
Well equipped spacious cottage. Beautiful area to visit. Cottage dog friendly with tiled floors downstairs & stair gate to keep her there! Fence around garden low in places so do need to keep an eye when dog is outside. Peacocks came into the garden a few times- Coco not too sure about them! Enjoyed seeing the horses in the next field & saw a fox crossing the field early one morning. Would definitely stay here again.
Thanks for your review, likewise you'd be welcome back at any time... Comment re lower section of fence taken on board for future amendment!
Glad you enjoyed your stay & the area..
Fabulous property with spectacular views
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Plas Drygarn cottage it had everything we needed and was very spacious. The cottage is set in an ideal position to explore the Pembrokeshire countryside, there are lots of walks locally and it's only a short drive to the coast.
If you want to get away from it all this is the cottage to choose.
Thanks for the great review, it was a pleasure to meet your family & Alfie the collie. We welcome you back anytime.
The property was very clean and had everything you would expect in your own home.
The property had fantastic views from the conservatory and kitchen, we saw some beautiful sunsets. The owner has put some thought into the property with some personal touches, she had thought of everything! We couldn't recommend this property enough it was fantastic.
