About Gary Thomas
Our property is jointly owned by myself, my two bothers (Steve and Richard), my sister (Suzanne), and our mum (Valerie). The villa was home to Mum and Dad from 1985 until 2013 and has been used for many family holidays over the years.
Gary Thomas purchased this Villa in 1985
Why Gary Thomas chose Mijas
This villa is owned by my two brothers, sister, mother and myself, having originally been home to our parents since 1985. Now that our mother has decided to return to the UK to live, we would like other people to experience and enjoy this ideal family holiday home. All of us have spent our summer holidays here and all our children have learned to swim in the large family sized swimming pool and in the security of the walled perimeter. It is ideally placed for easy access to Fuengirola town and beaches, plus all the local amenities such as bars, restaurants, supermarkets, golf, and tennis.
What makes this Villa unique
Our villa is the ideal holiday venue for a large family (or 2!), a group of friends, or a party/family with someone of restricted mobility. We have installed a lift in the garage at street level that will take anyone up to the second level on which is found nearly all the living accommodation (bar one bedroom suite). The flat garden, the three terraces, the pool, the pool patio, and the BBQ are all to be found on this level.
Please consider the following guidelines when booking this property:

Fantastic Villa and holiday
Beautiful villa very clean lovely garden and swimming pool would recommend booking this villa one of the nicest places I've stayed in.
We stayed for 5 nights early November. The villa is beautiful and the front terrace has a sea view with the morning sun. Although the villa has a lift ( which was great for us) the access road is very steep so any one less mobile might struggle.
There’s plenty of space, seating and personal touches to make this villa seem home from home. You are greated by Paul who shows you where everything is. However the villa owner is also contactable with advise etc. We had a fabulous time and I would highly recommend this place. The shops and local restaurant are about a ten minute walk away. The local restaurant has great food choices and offers a delivery service. A beautiful clean family villa for a great family holiday. Thank you.
We stayed in this lovely villa for a week in August and had a wonderful time.
The villa is very well equipped and was spotlessly clean upon arrival. We were grateful for the efficient air conditioning in all the bedrooms and the showers were all hot and powerful - something that can be lacking in rental villas.
The pool and surrounding areas were very well used and we loved the location of the villa. We didn't hire a car but everything we needed was within walking distance.
We walked to the large Carrefour for the big shop and got a taxi back. Uber also worked well in the area and we used this several times for trips to Mijas Pueblo, the water park and into Fuengirola itself (a 45 minute walk if you decide not to take a taxi).
We loved the villa so much that we planned to return next summer but unfortunately our dates were already taken! I'm sure we will be back at some point.
Lovely clean villa with everything we needed. Nice easy location to get to and near everything. Family of 10 had a lovely relaxing break
A dream family holiday
We’ve just come back from a great family holiday in this house. There were 13 of us – grandparents in their 60s, three couples in their 30s, five children of 7, 5, 3, 2 plus a baby of 3 months.
We had a lovely time. The house is spacious, very comfortable and well fitted out with everything you would need for a large party. The garden and outside terraces are super and provide the options of sun or shade at all times of the day . The biggest hit however was the swimming pool, well fenced for safety with young children, and big enough to hold us all, along with various inflatable objects, including Alan the alligator (which we sadly had to leave behind….)
The house is in a very quiet residential area but not far from the little neighbourhood centre of El Coto, which has a great bakery (we went every morning for fresh croissants), a couple of good restaurants, a supermarket and a pharmacy.
It’s only a 30-40 minute walk down to the very pleasant and extensive seafront at Fuengirola which we did most days. We had several great tapas snacks and meals in the old town of Fuengirola and ate grilled fresh sardines at the chiringuitos along the seafront – delicious!
Some of our party took the children to the biopark in central Fuengirola, where they saw an animal and bird show and tigers, crocodiles, fish, turtles etc.
We also went to Mijas Pueblo, a charming hill-top town well worth a visit with some very good restaurants. There are some interesting shops and a bull ring to potter around, donkey taxis and horse and carriage rides available and (free) flamenco dancing in the town square one lunchtime.
We all had a great time and well done to Paul who manages the property, the cleanliness of the whole property was impressive and his flexibility in fitting in with a range of arrival and departure times greatly appreciated – thank you for a really super family holiday!
The best, most relaxing 4 days
We travelled as a group of 12 women aged from 23 to 64 and we had the best time. Paul the manager met us at the villa (I forgot to call him from the airport but he arrived super quickly!) and showed us everything we needed to know. The villa is SO well equipped, much better than we anticipated. The kitchen facilities made it possible for us to cook whatever we wanted and the bbq was great.
There is ample space for 12 people to live comfortably around each other. The pool and sun bed area is really nice and we spent all day catching the rays (they even provide beach towels!). The villa is in a really nice residential location within walking distance of a shop and a few restaurants and only 5-10 min taxi ride from Fuengirola.
Gary, the owner, was nothing but fantastic in accommodating us (we paid for an extra night so that we could check out late for our flight, he helped by contacting his next guests to see if they could adjust their stay to the next day).
Overall I would recommend this villa to anyone and I know our party want to take their own families in the future. Until next time...
Thank you for your lovely review. Much appreciated.
I have to say it has been a pleasure to deal with you and I am so glad that you all enjoyed your holiday. You would be more than welcome to return at any time.
