Very spacious, neat and clean, excellent location.
A lovely quiet cottage just perfect to get away and chill.
Eight friends have just had a brilliant week end in this lovely cottage, would recommend if you want a quiet relaxing week end. Will definitely come back.
An amazing property packed with character. Stunning views all around and lots of places to visit within easy reach! A few sets of steps in the house that made us be creative with barriers to keep the toddlers safe! We had a fabulous family holiday. Thank you so much. Xx
Ideal location for family gathering the accommodation was excellent and contact with management on
Would love to return so much to see and do whiles short distance from main road it gives peace could not have asked for more
Great Family Weekend
Nice property, good lay out for extended family of all ages.
Richard and Laura wedding- family get together
Straightforward, accurate description, quick friendly feedback. The building is to a high standard- well planned and pleasant. The heating and especially the showers are excellent.
Room for improvement:-
The bathrooms are a bit drab and let the building down.
The bathroom towels are small and though clean- some were marked.
Bed duvet covers and pillowcases look a bit weary.
Kitchen could use an extra double wall cupboard. Some vegetable knives would have helped (cooking for 9).
We all enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.
Barnard Castle - historic market town - is approximately 4 miles distance and offers good shopping and sight-seeing together with the renowned Bowes Museum. Other nearby places of interest include Raby Castle, Durham and the Lake District.
The coaching inn at Greta Bridge is within walking distance and a recent addition is the Organic Farm Shop with gifts, organic foods and café a slightly longer walk to the opposite end of the village.
