Apartment in Aldwick, Bognor Regis, West Sussex - Situated in a quiet, private development. Ideally suited to the independent traveller
About Gerry Dowsett
The owners are both retired and enjoying their time travelling at home and abroad. They converted the apartment as part of their retirement plan. The idea was to split their time between their home and their holiday home in Menorca with the apartment giving them another interest whilst they're in England. They have always been interested in old cars and membership of car clubs has given them the chance to meet other, like-minded people. Motoring club friends have stayed at the apartment in the past and many have made favourable comments about it's suitability for using as a touring base in the South of England.
Gerry Dowsett purchased this Condo in 2008
What makes this Condo unique
The benefit of staying at Oakwood Lodge is that you have the privacy and independence to come and go as you please with the enjoyment of the peace and quiet of living in a small, private development. Although secluded it is not too far away from local shops, restaurants or pubs. All this and good roads links to London, its major airports, the midlands and the channel ports.

I enjoyed a wonderful stay with Gerry & Liz who were fabulous hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Their property is in a very quiet neighbourhood, well appointed, spacious, spotless and very well equipped. I enjoyed watching many sunsets from the sitting area while enjoying a glass of wine. Absolutely perfect stay and I would definitely stay again without hesitation. Thank you both very much 😊
Truly Home from home
Stayed in the apartment from 23rd - 28th August 2018. We were very happy with everything about it. It was very clean, had everything we needed and was perfectly situated for the south coast in West Sussex. Liz and Gerry were very helpful and made sure we had all th information about the area we needed. The private garden was available for our use which was a bonus. So much to see and do in the area we hope to return before too long.
Perfect stay by Liz and Gerry
Hello, Liz. Hello, Gerry,
I will first write a few words in German, because I hope that maybe some of you will read my review from Germany.
Thank you for your very kind hospitality. Also the helpfulness and the good tips rounded off the stay in Bognor Regis very well. The apartment was great. We didn't lack anything (nice kitchen, spacious living, sleeping, - dining area with panorama windows to push open. The bathroom was also perfect. Also the fact that we were allowed to use your garden was very nice.

The apartment is first class, spacious, clean and well equipped. It is situated in a quiet private road and is within walking distance of a variety of shops and a bus service to Bognor and Chichester. Park and Rides for Portsmouth and Brighton are easy to get to. Gerry and Liz are great hosts, friendly and helpful, they really do make you feel welcome.
Wonderful, clean and comfortable. Super shower and excellent kitchen. Home from home.
We were working in the area and coming and going at odd times. Nothing was too much trouble . Gerry and Liz are really helpful and friendly and we look forward to returning . The apartment is so well placed for visiting the area or for holidays. We highly recommend it.
Superb Apartment and Hosts
We booked this wonderful apartment to celebrate a birthday and to visit family and friends. We arrived to a warm welcome from Gerry and a home baked sponge from Liz, (which was delicious). The apartment was warm, spacious, quiet and spotless. Gerry and Liz had also supplied a number of essentials such as Tea, Coffee, Milk. Cereals and kindly a bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate my birthday.
We have been coming to the Bognor area for a number of years and this is without doubt the most comfortable and enjoyable accommodation we have found. Moreover we hope to be visiting the area for many years to come but now only when this superb apartment is available. Thank you Gerry and Liz.
