Very well equipped cottage in a good central position.
Home from home
The house was very homely and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay.
Lovely place, Highest Recommendation!
My two daughters and I had a wonderful stay at East Cottage in Croscombe for school vacation week. The home is perfectly equipped and the village is lovely. We loved the layout of the cottage, the stone spiral staircase, the comfy beds, the bathtub (we hiked a lot!), the fireplace (thank you for the wood supply!) and the furnishings. The kitchen was excellent, with all the needed cooking utensils and appliances, and the cake to welcome guests a nice touch! The back yard and gardens were lovely, although we didn’t expect to spend much time outside in February! Yet flowers had started to bloom. Road traffic was barely noticeable, and we enjoyed every moment at the cottage while exploring England. Croscombe and Wells were beautiful, and the location was perfect for our itinerary: Glastonbury Tor, Durdle Door, Nunney Castle, Wells Cathedral (Evensong), Dartmoor National Park, Bath and the Roman baths, Oxford (both daughters applying for admission), Wales and London. Highest recommendation. Thank you, Tim! We made a pact to return!
Beautiful, very well kept cottage in an ideal location for exploring the area
We had a great time staying at East Cottage over the new year period. It was a very cosy and beautifully kept cottage in a location ideal for heading out on day trips to attractions such as Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and the welcome cake, pint of milk and tea and coffee were a lovely touch. We would recommend the George Inn pub for food and drink - very welcoming landlord.
A great getaway cottage for the family.
Beautiful cottage - very comfy beds, well equipped kitchen.
One of our best holidays - great comfy cottage, superb location. Loved everything about our stay.
Carrot cake was a great touch and we loved it so much so that we bought one more at the end of our trip!
A big thank you to the host!

Charming cottage in a good location for exploring Somerset
A lovely cottage that is charming and easy to be in. It has lovely historical features, and modern essentials. It’s very clean and nicely equipped. The beds are nice and comfy.
The location is excellent as a base to explore the area, and close to good-sized supermarkets in both Wells and Shepton Mallet (no more than 10 mins either way).
We have packed in a lot during our stay! Here’s a selection: Fleet Air Arm Museum; Tintinhull House Garden; Montacute House; Ebbor Gorge, Glastonbury town, Abbey, Chalice Well Garden, and Tor; Wells town, Cathedral and Bishop’s Palace Garden; Forde Abbey, Charmouth and Lyme Regis, Cheddar Gorge, Brean Down, and Yeo Valley Organic Garden.
Unexpected gem: the nature reserves of the Avalon Marshes, and Ham Wall RSPB and Shapwick Heath Reserves in particular, which we visited multiple times - I bought binoculars. We saw great white egrets, little egrets, herons, kingfishers, marsh harriers, a bittern and an osprey!
