About Kim Woodley
I'm a recently retired Headteacher who enjoys holidaying in this most wonderful part of the south of France. My family of all ages from 6 months to 93 have enjoyed fabulous holidays at all times of the year in our special holiday villa. We are delighted to invite others to enjoy our house when we cannot be there. To ensure you have a happy holiday we have a wonderful local English lady (Karen) who looks after the house and guests and also Steve who cares for the pool, hot tub and gardens.
Kim Woodley purchased this Villa in 2004
Why Kim Woodley chose Montauroux
We bought this holiday home in 2004. We had searched along the south of France for a house that was in a quiet location but easy to reach shops, local markets and the beautiful hilltop villages as well as being near enough for our youngsters to get to the beaches and the lively towns of Cannes, Nice, St Tropez etc. We found this house and fell in love! and have since had a magical Christmas there and numerous summer, spring and Autumn breaks. It is a very easy 40 minute journey from Nice airport where the car hire is cheap with a wide choice.
What makes this Villa unique
The large, heated pool and outdoor hot tub offer the most relaxing days with the evening entertainment being the 2 metre wide home cinema system with over 200 DVDS. There are also boules, table tennis, darts, books, board games or the more leisurely peace of looking at the stunning views and the amazing sunsets.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
Every amenity you want, plus more, we found in this delightful villa. From comfortable bedrooms, a very spacious lounge, the extra of a garden room plus a super kitchen and that is before you explore outside! We loved the pool with its pool house housing a shower and changing room. The outdoor eating area with BBQ and pizza oven was a real plus and who cannot love a hot tub! We cannot wait to come back.
Beautiful amazing house with a view to die for
This house has everything! Warm pool, hot tub, brilliant pool kitchen with big BBQ and proper pizza oven! (making pizzas is harder than it looks!) fab cinema system and a lovely vineyard about 15mins away! You get fantastic sunsets and it’s so quiet who could ask for more!
Thank you so much for such a fabulous review and I'm thrilled that you had such a good time. Come again soon!
Perfect house for our family holiday!
Loved this house - plenty of room for our family of 5 and our friends. Gorgeous views, amazing pool and lots for the kids to do - couldn’t ask for more in a holiday home
It was great to welcome your lovely family and I'm so glad you all had such a fun time. I look forward to seeing you again soon.
Stunning and Amazing Villa....
What a great place to spend a week, wish it could have been two, the villa has everyhting you could wish for, great swimming pool that has the sun all day long, with an adjacent pool house that has a superb BBQ area, table tennis and darts in the shade should you need abreak from the sun. The villa itself is set in a peaceful area with stunning views, it is local to shops, has a lovely lake nearby although we didn't feel the need to travel far as the villa has everything you need, awesome home cinema too, thank you for having us.
It's super to hear that you and your family had such a great time at my house and I'm so glad you were able to enjoy the pool and some of our outdoor games as well as the home cinema, the BBQ and also to explore the wonderful local villages and lake. Do visit us again soon.
Gorgeous, spacious villa, with perfect views
We spent a week at the villa in July, four adults and five children. The villa catered for all of our needs and more than that. The place is absolutely gorgeous and even better looking in real life than on the photos.
We basically lived by the pool area, where the outdoor kitchen is also situated along with the outdoor dining area. We found everything we needed and received very detailed instructions and information about the house before arriving, which made life very easy. There are boardgames and a huge DVD selection at the house, which comes in handy when you want to escape the sun a bit. The house is in a lovely area, close to wineries, beautiful hilltop villages, caves, waterfalls, a large lake and lots of other sights.
We had the absolute best time at the villa and such smooth and friendly communication with the owner leading up to our stay. We can only give both the villa and Kim the warmest of recommendations.
Thank you so much for your very kind words. It is great to hear that you all had such a wonderful time and enjoyed the facilities of the house as well as exploring some of the beautiful areas nearby. Come back soon.
Definitely one to return to!
The villa has many positives.
The views from the villa are stunning. Sitting up high on the hillside, there are beautiful views down the valley.
There is easy access to the coast and countryside for getting to know the wider area but we love exploring the nearby perched villages, with their many quaint little restaurants.
The extensive air conditioning is very effective and the one bedroom we used which did not have aircon remained cool enough to be comfortable. We kept all the bedroom doors open upstairs to allow the cool air from the air conditioned rooms to filter through to the others.
The conservatory was comfortable for an early morning coffee inside but we tended to have all the doors open subsequently to keep it comfortable during the day.
We loved eating in the poolhouse in the evening. The ceiling fan kept it cool and the views of the sunsets were breathtaking.
The pool is heated and we appreciated this - so easy to walk into at any time of day and have a swim. The shower and toilet in the poolhouse are very handy too.
The kitchen is very well equipped with more than enough crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.
The only reason I have not given this property 5 stars is that we had to buy sun parasols to give us shade when using the loungers around the pool. Kim does not advertise that parasols are provided but we found them very necessary. We found no natural shade in the garden around the pool because the big palm tree and big bushes in the flower beds, which are seen in the online photos, have been cut down.
We were very comfortable in the villa and had a marvellous holiday. We certainly intend to return - and hope the parasols (or equivalent) will still be there!
The Irvine Family
Many thanks for taking the time to write a review and your lovely comments about the house and area are much appreciated.
I am so pleased you found the house comfortable and well equipped.
The parasols you bought are very useful and with the pool house (that is always in the shade) it means there is a great choice of places to sit in the sun or shade.
I look forward to welcoming you again soon.
Many beaches within 30 minutes to an hour's drive plus the Lake which is 5 minutes drive away and has swimming, sunbathing and non motorised water sports. Markets and evening entertainment take place in the summer months in several of the nearby villages. Great restaurants, bars and shops nearby
Nice airport is approx 40 minutes driving time away. Flights are available with many airlines from various UK airports: Heathrow and Gatwick
Southampton or Exeter
Other airports: Toulon - about 1hr 15mins driving time from Fayence
Marseilles - about 2 hours driving time from Fayence

Nearest shops are a 5 minute drive down to the valley below. Walking is possible but the hill is steep! There are many beautiful ancient hilltop villages within 5 to 30 minutes drive as well as the wonderful beaches of the French Riviera.
There are a good variety of supermarkets, local markets, restaurants, cash machines, banks, petrol stations within 5 to 10 minutes drive.
