This is a well appointed family house that has been recently redecorated. It has light and airy accommodation perfect for up to six adults. There are two double bedrooms and one twin. The lounge seats six and provides television and DVD viewing. Wifi is also installed. The dining and kitchen area is spacious, light and airy with access to the secure south facing rear garden Its location is outside the old town of Cowes which allows free on street parking. The house is within walking distance of the town, its yacht clubs and marinas.

About Andrew Milligan
Over the last 50 years I have enjoyed sailing so when the opportunity came to purchase a property on the Isle of Wight I chose Cowes, the traditional centre of yacht racing in the UK. Even in retirement much of my time is on the mainland. I support my partner's adult 'special needs' choir and act as a trustee for a local charity for those with learning difficulties. We are reaching the end of a three year programme of home improvements but I still find time for a little golf!

Why Andrew Milligan chose Cowes
The Isle of Wight has so much to offer. I love sailing but there are festivals galore, wonderful beaches, stunning walks and bike rides. If you enjoy eating then there is a wealth of quality restaurants, pubs and bars where you will find the best local produce. All this is just a ferry ride from the mainland.
What makes this House unique
The property is ten minutes walk from the Red Jet Terminal in the centre of Cowes and a very short chain ferry ride from the Red Funnel dock in East Cowes if you arrive by car. The property is situated away from the hustle and bustle of the town which makes it perfect for young children who need their sleep! Parking is always difficult in the old town but here it is free and available close by.

Well equipped house
The house is clean and tastefully decorated with everything you might need provided- including a dishwasher and washing machine. Parking is a bit tricky- we didn’t manage to park on the road the house is on at all during the stay but were normally able to find spaces on neighbouring streets. Just be aware of this when loading/ unloading. There was a mix up with our dates so our holiday was cut short by a day but the owner communicated well with us and refunded the cost of the lost day. Overall we were happy with our stay and felt that the house was well maintained, thank you!
Great property, great holiday
A lovely, well maintained property, perfect as a base to explore the Island. All 3 bedrooms are light and airy; the kitchen diner is very well appointed and great for family meals. Cowes town centre is a short walk away. This is our second stay at No 6 and I'm sure we will be back.

Very tidy, clean and well presented properly
We were a party of 6 adults (3 couples) taking part in the annual round the island race. The property was ideal for both the boatyard and town centre. Plenty of room, very large kitchen/diner .. we loved it ..
We recently had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was perfect, clean and comfortable. With everything you could need.
we made good use of the garden as the weather was so nice.
Parking was easy usually outside the property and just a short walk into cowes.

We have had the best holiday. The house is beautiful and so well equipped. Isle of Wight is the island that just keeps on giving. Fab weather. Loved Cowes. 50% of the time we could park outside the house if not it would only be a 2 minute walk. The beds are very comfortable and lovely to have a king, double and twins. Great to have a DVD player as the tv signal wasn't the strongest but it was great family time in the evening being busy on the island!!! Thanks Andrew.
Osborne House is just across the Medina via the chain ferry and was the favoured residence of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
