About Vacasa of Coastal Maine
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this homeour team is standing by!

Boothbay Harbor Charming Cottage
My husband and our small dog went to Boothbay Harbor, ME for Windjammer Days in June for our anniversary. We arrived early before check in (which is 4pm) and the owner of the property was there getting it ready, cleaning. I apologized for being early and asked if we could park there in advance of the check in time and use the bathroom. She was so nice and very accommodating. The house itself is so charming. It is very clean and nicely maintained. The decor consists of a lot of antiques that add to the flavor of the property. There are a collection of antique door stoppers scattered throughout the house that were a lot of fun to look at. Kitchen was fully stocked (dishes, coffe pots, pans. etc.) There was a large 6 burner gas stove that I loved. Washer and dryer a plus. We used the front porch for a lot of people watching. The only thing I would say is if someone regularly has a problem using stairs, the steep stairs that lead to the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom could be a challenge. The property is located perfectly at the end of the footbridge that leads to the heart of Boothbay Harbor and all the activities. The restaurants, harbor cruises and shops are located right there. If you enjoy taking lovely walks, this is great. Highly recommend.
The captains cottage
The cottage was situated right by the pedestrian bridge so we could walk to restaurants and shops. The cabin was beautifully furnished with lots of personal touches. The heating was a blessing as we arrived during a cold snap
Captains house- best location!
Fabulous old house- updated appliances- great w/d, awesome location! Would stay there again and again. Walk into town- the best! Thank you Vacasa
Upstairs bathroom, stairs too narrow to safely walk up or down, noisy air conditioner couldn’t sleep
Enjoyed the town
We are sorry this guest did not enjoy the home. Glad they enjoyed what the area offered. Thank you!
A Great Place to Enjoy Boothbay Harbor
A beautiful, older cottage with a great location, beautiful views, and very nice amenities for a stay in Boothbay Harbor. Our family had a great stay here. Comfortable house with a very nice kitchen, laundry facilities (which is great for a week's stay), and you are right on top of the Footbridge when you walk out the front door. Only slight drawback is no ceiling fans, but that is the only thing negative we can say about the place. We highly recommend staying here, if you are planning a trip to Boothbay Harbor. My family will be looking to stay here again if/when we return to Boothbay Harbor in a year or two,
Great location, very home-like and welcoming!
We loved this house! Two adult generations traveling together and this house was perfect for it's location just across the pedestrian bridge in Boothbay. We enjoyed the kitchen set up and "extras" like available tea bags, games in the cupboard, cushions on the chairs on the front porch. The space was very clean, lots of bath towels provided, and bonus of a stocked washer and dryer. Suggestions include - please provide at least two pedestal fans - one for the each of the non-airconditioned bedrooms for sleeping and that could be moved into the common rooms during the day and maybe an air conditioner for the down stairs area. Also there were a lack of towel racks or hooks for hand and bath towels. We highly recommend this house and would come back again!
