Notes
- Notes on accommodation: The house has been designed to make the most of the stunning views and therefore most of the rooms enjoy breathtaking views of the loch and the surrounding hills. All the reception rooms on the ground floor open out on to the main patio. Bedrooms 1 and 3 also boast small balconies and Bedroom 5 has its own small terrace. There are tables and chairs on the balconies, terrace and patio to allow you to take breakfast or enjoy a glass or wine outside gazing out over the loch. All the rooms have been furnished to a high standard and there is a range art by mostly Scottish artists on the walls to further enhance the ambience. The house is centrally heated by means of an air source heat pump and there is a wood burning stove in the main lounge for during the winter. With each of the bedrooms having its own en-suite, individual guests are afforded a welcome degree of privacy and the 2 sitting rooms and games room mean that large parties do not need to be on top of one another. Outside: The house sits on its own estate of some 60 acres. There is a patio directly in front of the house with a table, 10 chairs and a barbecue. There is a range of garden furniture. It is a 2 minute walk to the shingle beach directly in front of the house; a private, sheltered, sandy cove is a short stroll away. The local wildlife are a particular feature of the local area and deer are often seen directly outside the house. Utility Room: Siemens washing machine, Siemens tumble dryer, Belfast sink. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen for each guest included. Cleaning prior to arrival and at the end of the stay; cleaning mid-way through the holiday for guests booking a two-week stay. Other: Games room in a separate annexe with pool table, table tennis top, darts. Additional TV and Sony Playstation 3. Large sofa.

Ask a questionAbout Patricia Middleton
Since living in Glasgow for a couple of years when we were younger, my husband and I have regularly spent quite a lot of time in Scotland. My husband's energy business operates a number of small hydro electric power stations across Scotland and when land came up for sale opposite the hydro electric scheme we own in Roshven we jumped at the chance to build a holiday home on it.
Patricia Middleton purchased this House in 2012
Why Patricia Middleton chose Lochailort
Roshven is a very special place. The local area affords views that are up there with the best in the whole of the UK and you really do feel yourself unwinding the moment you enter the house. Sitting looking at the waves on the loch with a glass of wine or a wee dram in hand is the perfect antidote to the stresses and strains of modern life! But although the house is fairly remote, there's still quite a lot going on locally and plenty of places to visit within a short drive to ensure you don't get bored. And there are also lots of nice places nearby to sample Scottish hospitality.
What makes this House unique
I love seeing the deer strolling through the garden right outside the lounge window. I also particularly enjoy strolling through the woods to the sandy cove - on a clear day you'd think you were on a Greek island!
