Lovely cost cottage
Lovely cottage, comfortably furnished, well equipped, pretty garden, dog friendly, very clean, in the centre of the village 5 min walk from a glorious beach. Pub, tea rooms, general store & post office . 20 mins to Tenby. We will return.
We stayed in May cottage from 30th August to 6th September. To cottage was clean homely and very comfortable. Would highly recommend this property and the surrounding area.
Just back form a week in this glorious spot. The cottage has a very laid back vibe, just right for us and our dogs. Its position could not be more convenient; beach, castle, tea room, shop and pub all not much more than a few yards away. Still we managed to find some challenging walks from our base and lovely places to visit. Everything we expected was in the cottage and in good order. The hospitality was great at the pub next door .
Altogether a perfect spot to recharge our batteries. Thank you
Lovely cottage, great location.
The cottage was ideal; clean, tidy and cosy.
Manorbier is a really pleasant little place with a good pub and tearooms and ideally situated for exploring this part of Pembrokeshire and its spectacular coastline. We have every intention of returning.
Hi, thanks so much for your lovely review. We are so glad you like our cottage and the beautiful village. We hope to welcome you to Manorbier again soon.
Initial impressions were disappointing - very dead jug of bluebells on kitchen table - to a general feeling that this was somewhere where old furniture was sent to die. A general feeling of the cottage being unloved but the beds were comfy and the hooks on the backs of the doors compensating for somewhere to hang our clothes fortunately we had our own hangers and did not have to struggle with three wire ones in the very tiny old fashioned wardrobe. The kitchen was well equipped, although not sure when the oven was last cleaned and we mopped out the bottom of the fridge each morning. The response to the faulty boiler and the smoke alarm problem was dealt with immediately. Parking was a problem when busses
Hi Roger, Thank you for taking the time to review us. The furniture is mostly antique pieces specifically selected for the cottage, and is very much alive! Unlike the bluebells in the kitchen, for which I apologies, the normal fresh garden flowers had not been replenished as they should have been. We take on board your point about the coat hangars and I have ordered some lovely wood ones. As mentioned we responded immediately to the issue with the smoke alarm etc... and I believe that was sorted. Thank you again for visiting us.
May Cottage is a very comfortable well equipped property which is ideal for holidaymakers.
Enjoyed our stay very much . The cottage was clean and comfortable and well presented. The kitchen was a good size and I thought it was very well equipped ,the plates mugs and glasses were plentiful and CLEAN and plenty of frying pans and saucepans too!
A nice thought was the carton of milk, coffee and teabags which were on the kitchen work surface when we arrived.
The lounge was cosy with comfortable settees, decent television with good reception.
The beds (twin in our case) were very comfortable. Good clean bed linen .
The bathroom was fine. Decent shower and good soft towels. Even the lavatory had a decent flush!
The Nisa store a few minutes away from the cottage was a bonus. Apart from
opening early and also being a Post Office it was really well stocked with a good selection of food and plentiful selection of drinks of all sorts.
May Cottage’s connection with the Castle was also a bonus but we couldn’t explore as we would have liked as my husband wasn’t all that well during our stay.
Thanks to Lynda for her help and Katie for her E mails in the run up to our stay.
She was on leave during our week so I couldn’t thank her personally.
I would love to have given 5 stars but the parking was a bit awkward with big vans etc. when we were there and I think the dustbin men must have caught the back of our car when parked opposite the playground -but we’re still here to have to have another stay . That’s all that matters.!
Hi, thank you for your lovely review. Im sorry I didn't get to see you personally but I appreciate your lovely comments.
