Cottages in Woolfardisworthy, Bideford, North Devon - Peaceful Beef Farm Location in the Countryside, Close to Beaches, Numerous Rural and Coastal Walks
About Christina Leonard
Myself and my husband have been letting our two self catering holiday cottages for over 25 years. We enjoy meeting people coming to stay with us and helping them to enjoy their holiday. The cottages are within our 45 acre beef farm, on which we have numerous farm birds, chicken, ducks, peacocks and wild pheasants. Frequently I have children from the holiday cottages watching me with the poultry in the morning and helping to collect eggs! We live in the farmhouse near the cottages and are on hand if you have any enquiries during your stay. The position of the cottages is completely separate from the farmhouse and allows for complete privacy. We enjoy seeing guests using the swimming pool and making the most of the gardens and play areas.
Christina Leonard purchased this Cottage in 1980
Why Christina Leonard chose Woolfardisworthy
These cottages were converted by ourselves from barns. In fact Millers cottage did used to be the Mill house for the local area and still has the original Mill stone laid in the gardens.
What makes this Cottage unique
The cottages are peacefully located in the countryside allowing you to completely relax and unwind. There are lush, mature gardens for you to enjoy, the swimming pool, which you have your own key for access at your own convenience. The cottages are situated only a short drive to numerous tourist attractions, adventure parks, beautiful golden beaches, ideal for surfing. There are also numerous countryside and coastal walks in the North Devon area that guests often undertake. There are riding stables, close by and golf courses a short drive from the cottages. Being close to the cornish border, you could drive to some cornish beauty spots or places of interest, such as the Eden project.

Lovely clean cottage, plenty of room for 2 adults 3 children. Swimming pool was excellent for the children who loved having it all to themselves. Would recommend especially for families.
Lovely Easter break
We really enjoyed are stay, we had a lovely cream tea on arrival. The facilities where great and clean. Very close to local parks which we all enjoyed. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.
The cottage was more than adequate for 4 adults and 2 children.
We had a wonderful break at Christina's cottage and found her very welcoming. The scones and cream were a nice touch. The children both boys ages 5 & 7 were in their element with the heated pool all to themselves, the play area and table tennis and pool table. The nearest beach was Westward ho! with lots of sand and arcades to occupy everyone. We will certainly be returning. Oh Cristina the boys said thank you for their easter eggs.
Cottage was lovely, spacious, immaculately clean and functional. Kitchen is a bit small in proportion to the rest of the cottage but we made it work. Games room was a hit. Lovely enclosed garden for the dogs, plenty of seating for our party of 6. Quiet rural area, lovely walk into the village to the amazing new pub there, and dog friendly beaches meant our dogs could have a good run and play.
Enjoyable and relaxing holiday
Thank you so much for such a nice stay and pleasant holiday. The cottage looks great and suit us perfectly. It is a very nice and quiet place. You could hear birds singing all day long. Most of the time we were doing trips around the place (Clovelly, Hartland, Bude, Gnome farm and The milky way). Kids enjoyed outside garden with trampoline and claiming frame. The swimming pool is a great bonus. We were swimming on daily basis and water was nice and warm. I am hoping to come back next year.
On arrival we were greeted by Christina who gave us a tour of the cottage and surrounding facilities. The cottage was very clean and suited all our needs. I would highly recommend this cottage. The handmade scones were gorgeous. Thankyou Christina for a very pleasing few days. June & family
