This privately owned apartment is spacious, furnished to an extremely high standard with marble floors throughout and very well equipped to make your stay enjoyable. The accommodation includes 2 bedrooms, one with kingsize bed and the other with twin beds, both with fitted wardrobes and drawer space. There is also a sofa bed provided, therefore, accommodating 6. It has 2 bathrooms, one with bath and shower over and the other with a separate shower cubicle and his and hers sinks, both include WC and bidet. Fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer. The property has a large terrace with a large BBQ for alfresco dining whilst overlooking the communal main pool, children's pool and beautiful tropical gardens. For your comfort there is hot and cold air conditioning and a TV, games console, DVD/CD player and ipod docking station. The apartment is ideally located for a peaceful holiday, whilst being only minutes from the local beach and many popular bars and restaurants in the Marina at La Duquesa.

About Kingsley and Carolyn Gudmunsen
I am a married man with two grown up sons. I am a retired Police Officer having spent 30 years in the West Midlands Police. My wife and I purchased the apartment in 2004 and have spent many family holidays as the boys were growing up with fond memories. We still use the apartment on a regular basis at various times of year.

Spacious, well equipped apartment...Recommended
My family and I spent a wonderful two weeks in this quiet and spacious apartment.
We were impressed with the size of the apartment and the quality of the fittings...a king size bed, two good size bathrooms, a spacious terrace which is ideal for sunny breakfasts, a well equipped kitchen including dishwasher, British TV and a large BBQ. Add to this, the well kept gardens and good sized pool (with parasols and sunbeds) which we had to ourselves most days and this is a great place to relax,
The apartment is in a quiet area and you probably need a car as the walk back up the hill from the main road and front would be a tough one, particularly with shopping.
Puerto de la Dequesa is a few minutes in the car and has a good variety of bars and restaurants and there are some excellent chiringuitos (beach bars) along the front.
The communications from the owners were excellent throughout.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will look to return.

A relaxing week in the sun
We took my Mum and Dad to the apartment for a weeks break in the sunshine to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. The apartment is lovely, very spacious and in a lovely location near to lots of restaurants and shopping areas. The apartment is located up a hill and for that reason we would consider a car as essential.

Perfect week away with family
We stayed in this apartment for a week at the end of August. It is incredibly clean and has everything you could need. My daughter loved the pool, which was well kept and a perfect size. The kitchen has all you will need and the bedrooms are also large. The block is situated in the hill above La Duquesa. And is only a 10-15 minute walk down to the beach front and port area. We love the port. It has loads of bars and restaurants. Also loads of shops close by. The place really comes to life in the evening. It's also not far from Gibralter if you wish to visit. Or close to other areas. But nicely away from The over populated tourist areas. A handy book is situated in the apartment. Which gives great ideas of things to do and places to go. We will definately be returning again

amazing family orientated holiday appartment
very enjoyable two weeks, the apartment is well equipped and in a nice quiet location but not far from local beaches and restaurants and local supermarkets but a car is needed.
shared pool and children's pool, which was ideal for my grandson, the complex was gated and made it feel more private and secure.
the apartment was very clean and roomy
myself and my family will defiantly return for another holiday. The owner's were very helpful and nothing was to much trouble to organise.

A great little peaceful retreat
Came to stay in this apartment for a 10 day stay in August 2015.
Such a lovely apartment and location.
We normally go out when we are away but to be honest you had everything you need there we didn't actually venture out in the evening and instead enjoyed the peaceful setting with bbq's.
The apartment was beautifully kept and was perfect for my sun worshipping and my wife relaxing in the shade of the terrace
The pool and apartment were clean and quiet and situated within travelling distance to Gibraltar and other must see attractions such as terifa, the Andalusian horse show in Jerez, Rhonda and the beautiful beaches of Spain. A visit to the chirungito at Los Palma is a must
All in all a beautiful apartment, beautiful location and so relaxing

There are lovely long stretches of sandy beach in Duquesa just 10-15 minutes walk away. The neighbouring towns of Sabanillas and Estepona also have beautiful sandy beaches which are just a short drive. Sabanillas is approximately 5 minutes drive and Estepona approximately 15 minutes by car.
Gibralter Airport 30 minutes by car.
Malaga Airport 1 hour by car.
Jerez Airport 1.5 hours by car.
La Duquesa Marina, bars & restaurants, supermarket & banks 5 minutes by car or 40 minutes walk.
Sabanillas 5 minutes by car, local town with beach, numerous shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars.
Estepona 15 minutes by car.
Gibralter 30 minutes by car.
Casares, typical Spanish mountain village, 20 minutes by car.
Tarifa 1 hour by car where you can ferry across to North Africa for the day.
Ronda, historic town with oldest bull ring in Spain & enjoy a pony & cart tour 1.5 hours by car.
The picturesque Marina of La Duquesa comes to life in the evening with its numerous bars, restaurants and one nightclub. The restaurants will suit any palate such as Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Italian and English. There are numerous supermarkets and banks in the area.
